Hey guys, in the Sightings thread i kept seeing K-mart as a frequent sightings area for Highbrow. Which is funny because the Kmart i have here is....horrible. JUst a horrible horrible place, giant store, 5 people working and they usually have 1 transformer hanging on the shelves.
ANYWAY, Kmart has Highbrow for sale on there website for 19.99. Just like in the store.

I see people buying it on ebay for like $40+ and i just laugh.

Also ive checked Miejer, Walmart, and Target for the same figure, none of which stock it. Looks like Kmart is the place to buy him.

Just FYI, K-Mart tends to take orders for things they don't have and then ship you some other product.

Buying from K-Mart online is essentially the unprotected sex of internet purchasing. You never know what you're going to get.

Why does K-Mart suck so bad at every aspect of being a department store? Seriously, now that Ive gone there a few times and witnessed the 1 out of 20 checkouts open at 5pm, Called a few different ones to wait on hold for 20 minutes or call back repeatedly and now Heard from you guys the bad online stuff too, Its no Wonder 60% of them closed.

I hope I get it. Ill update on the 27-29th :BANG_HEAD:

This thing sells for $40 online? Good Lord, why?!? I've seen it a few times (even at Target) but have passed every time because the bot mode looks like a pile of steamy DOTM. If I see it again maybe I should pick it up just to sell/trade.

oh you guys dont like him? I think hes pretty awesome looking. His Plane is really cool, and his robot is nice too except for his hands I think. but yes, Resell on ebay is 30-40$ ive put 20$ bids on about 6 of them and been outbid every single time. So no matter what, youll make some money.

His alt mode makes the whole figure. Definately one of my favorites recently.

I'm thinking this guy might have sold better if he'd been packaged in his alternate mode. The pose/configuration he's packaged in is pretty ridiculous looking. If you pull out his arms a bit to align the fists with the elbows, he looks better. This puts the engines at about a 45° angle to the forearm. They're still there and they're still bulky; but they're more forgivable if you think of them as doubling as a blade weapon (which is a configuration described in the instructions).

Beyond that, he's a very well articulated figure; the feet in particular have a lot of flexibility and accommodate some very nice poses. The spinning blades are a neat gimmick that's uncommon on today's Transformers; and the aviator-style battle mask is an especially nice touch.

I do wish he had just a few more paint apps. It would have been nice to pick up the red accenting his chest in a few more places; and the engine exhaust pipes could really have benefited from the silver paint used on the nose of the plane. But those are minor nits.

To be sure, Highbrow is an unconventional Transformer. I think that's a lot of his charm.

Well you were right about K-mart, they sent me a letter a few days ago telling me they made an error and were out of stock. Got refunded.

He's really not that bad. The blue is definitely a weird shade but the arms can be positioned so they don't look so bad. Also, his alt mode is bad@ss and I love that you can holster his guns.
