Expensive! I was at Anime Jungle last week in Little Tokyo in LA and picked up Encore SS for $40. Soundwave was $50 and I think Optimus was about $70. SS was a little more than BBTS, shipping from BBTS would've evened it up I guess.

Are there any other places in LA that sell Imported or original (ie used) TFs? Any of the comic stores have a toy slant?

There was a bunch of voyagers at Wal Mart La habra, but they were not in the toy section, they were in the rafters in the automotive (overstock I quess) Also Movie deluxe and some others are in WM ad tommorow.

Thanks for the info on Anime Jungle. I would like to check it out sometime soon. Toy Mandala in Sherman Oaks was selling Prime and Megatron Encore for $119 each. Soundwave was around a $100. I went to Mini Melt in Eagle Rock and they were selling the Megatron for $149. I am interested in the Encore series and purchased the first four for $187 on eBay. The only problem is that the lady is taking forever to send it. She keeps giving me the run around how the item is in customs and will be arriving soon. I would be fine with that if she didn’t tell me the exact same thing two weeks ago. Thanks for the info and sorry for the complaining.

wow, those prices make my head spin.... the nerve of some collectors shops in l.a.... meltdown on sunset selling wst red alert for 35$, anime store in chinatown selling KO reisuue prime for 135$ .

Freaking Walmart, I get there at 7 A.M. to see what they have, and the isle are practically bare, the Movies are in their Sunday ad ! but they don't stock them ? Anyone else go to WM this morning ?

The only KO I saw was the piece of **** Superion one, I saw it at Big Lots for $6.99. One of the fake Arielbots arm had already fallen off in the sealed package. I decided that it would be best if I didn’t throwaway seven bucks. I would however fork out $60 for a KO Mirage if I could find one in the area. The Dinobots KO’s should be interesting to see, but I am concerned how the KO Dinobots could affect the price of my MISB G1 Sludge that I bought a year ago. Next month I will send the piece to AFA, hopefully it is real.

ON Topic...found a cache of Barricades at my Target, along with a 25th Joe Shipwreck and 2 12" JLU figs (Justice Lord Supe and Aquaman)

Anyone see any movie leaders in So. CA. ? they all disappeared all of a sudden (right when I decided to get one !) I barely got a voyager prime because they had one in the back at one Target, all the other Targets and Walmarts had none !

try culver city target, culver city tru, manhattan beach tru, or inglewood target.... ive been there a couple of times and i kinda remember seeing a leader megs there.... as for leader brawl, he is for sure at one of your local targets or trus, if not check out the ones i mentioned cause each store at least has 3 leader brawls.

culver city tru, deluxes including arcee and a bunch of pegwarmers, cyb. primus, movie legends 5 pack, tons of robo reps.

ah, of course theyre not affecting me.... theres no brush fires in the city, theyre all in the outskirts. probably the only affecting me is the smoke which makes the air really bad, but i guess that doesnt really matter becuase of all the smog l.a. already has .
....but seriously, lets take a moment to pray for those who are near the fires, those affected by the fires, and those fighting the fires.... i have teachers, classmates, family, and friends who live out in santa clarita, malibu, irvine, and san diego. i hope all is well for everyone and that theyre safe, but most importantly, that their homes stay untouched by the fires. peace yall.

I agree with Tom that you could still find a Megatron or Brawl Leader class in your area. I see these two figures quite frequently. Prime on the other hand doesn’t show up quite often anymore. Last time I saw him was in the Alhambra Target about two weeks ago and it was around 8 in the morning. A Prime leader class would require a little luck and some early visits to Target.

And as Tom said lets say a prayer for the people whose lives have been affected by this fire and hope that everything turns out ok. My girlfriend’s cousin and her family had to evacuate due to the fires. I saw them yesterday and gave the little kids Transformers. I gave Danny the 2008 Concept Bumblebee and Elsa got an Arcee.

if you need a leader prime, im guessing your best bet might be costco because they have the leader prime exclusive there.... and people barley check costco for toys. and last i heard, costcos had stacks of these just sitting there.... try caling a costco near you to find out if they still have any. good luck.

Yea, I'm looking for the optimus prime, not the mega or brawl, those seem to be everywhere, Targets DPCI number is the same for all the $39.99 ones, so when it shows in stock, it could be the other ones, I checked Costco yesterday, but to no avail. I thought I remeber seeing prime before, but all of a sudden he's gone, the guy at Walmart said that some "collector" came in and bought all the voyager primes that were in the overstock section, so he must have got all the leaders in the area too.

I checked Costco yesterday, but to no avail.

I never would have dreamed that my Costco would ever sell out of the FOUR stuffed pallets of the Leader Prime figure. There had to be well over 100 that I saw the night I went. I went back about 2-3 weeks after getting mine and they were ALL GONE...still can't believe it actually.
