Still no sign of the "preview" wave anywhere in the Bay Area that I could find.

I just thought about that today as well and.... why are they selling costumes for ROTF for kids in the middle of May?
So it seems that no one in California has spotted any preview figs yet?
If there are any charismatic people here who live near Fremont, maybe you can ask if they have the preview figs at the Walmart on Warm Springs Blvd off of 680. I know for a fact they have other ROTF figs that aren't on the floor yet but the last time Ive went the managers were either busy/acting busy or the floor person didn't have much info (or legally can't give me any info?).

Definitely at Fry's. I snagged 5 ROTF figs and am going back for the two others I didn't get [found out I had more money]. This is what they had left at the
Fry's in Fremont off of 680 at the Duram exit [(Automall) exit]
Leader Class
x1 Prime
x3 Megatron
Deluxe Class
x5+ Bumblebee
x5+ Sideswipe
x3-5 Rampage
x3-5 Sideways
x10+ Breakaway
In less than an hour I can guarantee you there will have 1 less Megatron and 1 less Breakaway

Oh suh-weet! No register lockout then, I'm assuming. That Fry's seems to just not give one tenth of one damn about that sorta thing.

That's what I was thinking and why I went over there to give it a shot =P
and an update, I did go back and get the Leader Megatron and a deluxe Breakaway BUT I think I was wrong about how many Rampages. I didn't see any this time though there are ROTF figs on another shelf in another isle, I didn't rummage through it, so there might not be any more Rampages but my above posting of the other nums are pretty accurate.

I'll be heading there in a little bit... I'll try to get an accurate count. Now I just gotta figure out how much I can afford to spend! (Botcon is right around the corner!)
Anyone know how much a person can usually expect to spend on the "extra" souvenir figures they have there?

From what I understand at Fry's if they scan the actual barcode on the box it won't ring up but all they have to do is manually key the product code thats on their little price sticker they attach to everything on it and it will ring up with no problem. Apparently they aren't getting any kind of street date message when they ring them up. Which action figures are such a tiny part of what they sell I doubt they fear any repurcussions of jumping the street date.

I wasn't going to buy them for the same reason but then I thought; Im going to buy them anyways, and if I buy them here I don't have to worry about not opening them because of the "first buy" sticker, and it will leave me more room in my "cart" while Im at botcon and less to haul back in the car. The Leader class toys were $5 more though, I think the deluxes were standard price.
I was expecting to come with $300 for the extra exclusive figs and $300 for all the movie line stuff. I got 5 deluxes and 2 leader class figs so far so that's about -$150 off what I need to spend at Botcon on the movie figs =P [not to mention the room they take up]
And for the people who are looking at the Fry's in Fremont, the ROTF toys are on an end display on the same path that you come in on through the front door. Look for the end display on the left towards the end of the store. The other area is 1 or 2 isles before the end display, on the left, near the start of the isle.

6x Deluxe Bumblebee
2x Sideways
2x Breakaway
1x Leader Megatron
I only saw them on the endcap, it looks like they other spot is empty now, or they consolidated.

Did stop at a 7-11 and they had the new slurpee cups, but no straws, and the Tranformers Passion fruit flavor. I also saw a cup that I didn't previously hear about. Its a small 12oz cup with the pyramids in the background and removable stickers of Optimus, Starscream, Megatron and Bumblebee.

They were closing so I scrambled but they have a couple left of Ransack, Dead End, and a few Rollbars.

Thanks for the reply. Im not sure that will work to good in my case. They put the sticker on the card part of the box. I think im just stuck with it. It will be cool thirty years from now when I pull them out of the box in the attic and see that they went from selling at $12.99 to $15.99 collectors increase.

I bhave interesting news as our Wal-Mart actually has the new layout plan that even after asking a worker in toys they are putting them out for sale at 12 AM on the 30th. I'm assuming tehy will do this with other Wal-Marts and it might debunk that 5 PM claim on the 29th.

2281 Honolulu Ave Montrose, CA 91020 ) has ALL of the RotF figures, At least one of each. Since it's a smaller store everything's about five bucks more than normal. I picked up a Prime, left the rest.
