This question goes out to DJs who might be on this forum:

I attended a DJ workshop a while ago on scratching. I remember the guest DJ showing us a scratch called "The Transformer", in which he scratched a record and produced that transforming noise from the G1 cartoons exactly!

Does anyone here know how to do this? I want to record this myself and use it as a ringtone as well as use it for several events in my Windows XP.

No it's like "chi choo choo choo choo!" Watch any Transformers G1 episode

The "Transformer" scratch is one the oldest and basic scratching out there. Not sure exactly when it came out but I think DJ Jazzy Jeff (Fresh Prince) was one of the first one to put it on wax.

You can use any sound to do the "Transformer" scracth. Im not sure I heard anyone do it exactly like the cartoons.
