I left for a few days because I was getting ganged up by almost everyone here. I return and post a few replies, Only to see almost everyone jumping down my throat with insults and over the top rudeness.

Last I checked, I was entitled to have my own toy opinion and preferences in this hobby. What some of you here are doing is treating me like garbage. By looking for excuses in threads to sling over the top insults and rudeness my way. most of it is premeditated attacks.

I don't enjoy creating polite threads or replies here. Just for some to roll on in and use those threads or replies as excuses to attack, bully, mock and gang up on me. Disagreeing with someone is fine but do it in a polite respectful way. don't go out of your way to overly mock the guys opinion and incite others to gang up on him.

Sorry my toy opinion and preferences does matter here. It matters just as much as yours does here. nobodies opinion or preferences is greater or less than others here. my opinion or prefererces is not the minority in this hobby like some have rudely mocked and suggested they were.

I won't be replying to any of the over the top obnoxious insults and rude comments towards me from others elsewhere in other threads. Because doing so will give others reasons to imply I am the attacker in those threads. I wasn't born yesterday guys, I am well aware of all the tricks of the trade.

If you've got any problems with anybody, report the issue to the mods, not making an unrelated topic in the 3rd party section

Also, from my observation around here, most have tried to be nice initially, but your obsession with scale kinda gets on everyone's nerves too.

Everyone here just need to chill the f*** out.

We try to take a laid back approach, we DON'T want to be constantly coming down on people, it's not fun, mostly because when we do we then have to put up with the annoying pm's telling us we're wrong etc etc.

So yes, chill the **** out and learn to respect the opinions of others, even if you think that person is a douchebag or batshit crazy, they're still entitled to them.

I mean you're the one who pisses everyone off, and continue to do so even after they ask you politely to stop. Thing is, treat people the way you want to be treated.
And currently it looks like you want to be treated like an utter asshole.

You are entitled to your own opinion. The unwanted hostility you seem to attract isn't because of your opinions. It's that more often than not you insist your opinions are fact and you argue that 'fact' until you're blue in the face. Respect the opinions of others that don't coincide with your own by acknowledging them and letting that be the end of it instead of turning it into a 5 page debate.

On my end, I've had run ins with 2 members here. One due to a focus on a particular type of "action figure" while another started with being uncivil concerning a release date of a figure that WASbacked up by an online retailer which I posted.

I contradicted the former to a near "break the boundary of diplomacy" because he tended to generalize against a particular ethnic group while the latter with a claimed direct info connection to Hasbro. I stopped (after a warning from the mods), pulled back to cool things up. Even though imho, especially on the 2nd issue where I had documentary backing.So I let it go as I was proved correct. I am civil with those two members and at times agree on with their valid posts.

If you feel alluded to in my posts just take the time and read this..........please back up your assertions by fact. In this "wired" era, anyone can claim but claims can easily be debunked.

In the main forum, I believe everyone knows my love for G1 but I don't go about claiming that G1 Scorponok will be released for sure. I add this on my wish for such a thing to be reality. I don't say that this is fact among other things.

Be on topic. Is that too much to ask? And your posts kind of feel like it's kind of like trolling as most are in fact the same topic cleverly constructed to be different.

It's good to be hyped for TF but sometimes it goes beyond overkill.

Also, 3 back to back very long posts per page has to break some unwritten rule of behavior. Maybe English isn't your first language but you do have a way of presenting your wish/opinion in a way that would indicate your speaking in fact. I don't post often but read daily and you seem to hijack and derail most threads. Example - "MP 22 will be released on august 3rd and will be 13 and 7/8 inches tall."
Try, "I hope MP 22 is released by blah blah and it would be great if it were X inches tall. This would make me happy"
Then, shut up about it.

Hopefully you take this as constructive criticism, and not as a personal attack...

As others have said, you tend to make comments that are either personal opinion or unsubstantiated rumor, state them as if they are definite fact, and go off on long tangents about them, insisting about your correctness over the objections of others, in ways that tend to derail threads that up until that point were having nice, relevant conversations.

Another thing you tend to do is, when you start threads of your own, you do it in a way that almost seems calculated to be inflammatory or controversial. Examples:

The Elephant in the room,3rd party matching classics toy scales discussion thread. Okay, we get it. You have a strange obsession with some imaginary ideal scale that you also seem to feel everyone else shares as well, even as everyone else tells you, "Nope, that's just you." I suppose, at least, by starting this thread you can concentrate such discussion in one place rather then derailing every thread you post in with it.

A idea to please all fans of differently preferred scaled 3rd party TF toys. Or make that in two places. This thread kind of comes off as the same as the previous one, only worded differently to try and make it look like it's a different topic.

How many add ons kits do you buy? Not nearly as much as an offender, but still the wording in your first post comes off a bit passive aggressive. Translated by my patented "this-is-how-it-can-be-perceived-o-meter," it reads as, "I love third parties and anything Hasbro sucks. Even add-ons can't save most of them, and while I do have some I've just gotten rid of others." Maybe not your intent, but the language you use makes it seem that way.

The negatives,I see in buying 3rd party Combiners toys. You don't even have to go into this thread before you start to see problems with it. Just the title alone seems very unconstructive. And going into it, all you seem to find is a rant about third party combiners. And all of the negatives you complain about apply just as much to either official combiners or all third party items regardless of if they are combiners.

And finally... This very thread here! If you had an honest problem with insults and rude comments, report them to a mod. Starting a thread to complain about it in a public fashion comes off more as if you are just trying to seek the negative attention you claim not to want.

To sum up. Are you entitled to your own opinions, even if they are not the most popular ones around here? Of course you are! Heck, if all opinions were the same, things would get pretty boring around here quick. Discussion thrives on difference of opinion. However, civil discussion depends on one thing that everyone (myself included) forgets on occasion: tact.

Have your own opinions. But if you want yours respected, then also respect those of others.

Also recognize the difference between opinion and fact. If you have something that is a fact to discuss, fine. It's a fact. But if you have an opinion that you state as a fact and cannot back it up, don't act surprised when everyone calls you on it.

Finally, when starting a new thread, try to do so with more positive language, even if that language may not fit entirely with your own views. For example, the "negatives about 3rd party combiners" thread... Perhaps it could have been named something more like, "Pros and Cons of Third Party Combiners," and in the initial post you could have discussed third party combiners in general, listed some negatives and some positives about them, and ended the post with an invitation towards discussion. Then, if you wanted to focus more on some of your negative views, you could have done so in later posts within the context of the discussion, but hopefully in a way that wasn't dismissive of conflicting views of others.

To sum up: You're entitled to your views. You just need to (a) find a more positive way of expressing them (b) recognize the difference between fact and opinion, and (c) respect the opinions of others if you wish to have your own respected. If you do this, you may find may find much of the perceived hate about you vanishing! Heck, you may even find yourself a valued, constructive member of this community!

Honesty you need to lighten up some. When the other posters see you have a sense of humor, they tend to respect you more. If you enjoy dishing out ****, be prepared to take **** too. You cant get all bent out of shape just because people disagree with you. I Probably used to be the most hated member on this site. Judging by this thread, you have taken that prestigious title away from me forever. Do I still crack jokes about barbie doll scale and coffee table figures ? Hell yeah !!! Do I do it in a way that it insults the posters as individuals ? No I dont. These days I may flat out insult a figure, but I try my best to avoid insulting the person who may like that figure. Granted some people on here might not get my sense of humor due to cultural or regional differences. But ive come a long way since some of my epic battles on this site over Hasbro vs. 3rd parties and KOs. Ive chilled out a bit sice those days although im always up for a good ol classic debate induced with some urban humor. But my advice to you would be to just chill out and listen to what some of these guys above me are trying to tell you.

Especially when, frighteningly, I found us agreeing on things occasionally (through things I read via e-mail notification when you made the very next post in a thread, or from when others quoted you). We may not always agree, and on some issues we likely still would quite vehemently disagree, but you have seemed to be making more of an effort to be less adversarial, and I can appreciate that.

Anyway, your post above made me finally take the step and remove you from my ignore list. Now, I ignore no one! (I had been thinking of adding a certain other person... We'll see what happens...) Not that I think you live and die based on my acceptance of you, but I thought I'd at least publically acknowledge your effort.

Hey thank you for that. I appreciate it. Although I still have my days, Im trying not to be such a troublemaker on here. Ive learned there are plenty of tactful ways to express my opinions here.

Basically, life is just too short to get het up about these topics. As many others have said, state opinions as opinions and not facts and no-one will get their backs up. Also, try not to repeat yourself so much. I used to post here a hell of a lot, but recently I have been disillusioned by the continuous rowing on here. I'm afraid in most cases you are the common denominator. Say your piece by all means and then move on. Use your adversary RatedX as an example. He is waay more agreeable now, this is all without compromising on his viewpoints. Just try and relax a little, and things will get better for you.

And because it seems to be one of the "elephants" in this thread, stop calling out Rated X! Your previous posts are filled with negatives and pulling X into the discussion even when he's not actively part of the conversation. You started a thread about scale and dropped X's name in the first post - that's uncalled for.

Most of the previous posts in here have some very good advice, and I hope you can take some positives from it. I would even advocate taking some time before starting a post and plot out what it is you are trying to bring across. I take no pleasure in trying to read your multiple paragraph diatribes, much less to finish one and see that another one is posted right after. And most of the time it's the same message you've already voiced. Maybe the "stream of consciousness" IS your voice, but it just doesn't work here.

Effective communication can go a VERY long way in making your stay with this group an enjoyable one. If you have to repeat the same thing over and over (or feel the need to), then you're not effectively communicating.

No, Rated X is still at the top (though T-Mackimus is trying to get there, but he does it in such a way he comes off as cute and adorable). tf fanboy is in a league of his own. There's a lot you guys don't know about him and his antics.

Not gonna lie, the quotes I've seen of this newer, less antagonistic X has me considering taking him off the big I, too.

Ganging up and baiting is a issue here. It's recently happened to me and has happened to X also. Please lets stop this behavior. I don't think anyone like to be on the short end of the stick and get treated like this. Lets try not to push the buttons,we know will set off the wrong behavior.

At the end of the day. Most of us seem to be here to discuss our stuff in this hobby. Because most of us have friends and family don't don't understand why we like this hobby so much. If we treat everyone like a extended family member. Then most of the negativity and bashing will be cease here.

Awesome! Good on you to want to change.

My issues with your past post is just the spread of wrong information based on your opinion. That is all. Like MP22, you have no clue it's size (you are guessing, you might be right but you might not be) so why keep stating it as fact? You might influence people's decisions who might not be as intuned with everything.
