Hey guys, this is bugging me a lot.

I just checked the exclusives transformers page for toysrus.ca and they revealed that the final exclusive coming out this year is the Platinum leader Grimlock and Optimus set.

What bothers me about this is that the optimus evolution pack was never shown on this page while every other evolution pack was (the 4 others). So I am now wondering if this exclusive is not planned to reach Canada. Has anyone out there seen this pack yet?

The optimus set has since been revealed, just not on their exclusives calendar page. So all is well.

Generations seen lately around the Montreal area:

Shrapnel/Reflector and Tailgate & Groundbuster - at the Namur Toys R Us, also saw a Tailgate at the Wal-Mart right next.

My girlfriend found me a single Whirl at the Atwater Target. She saw nothing else new; I have to date not seen hide nor hair of the Rattrap deluxe wave at retail yet; hell, I haven't even seen Armada Starscream.

Walmart Pointe-Aux-Trembles in Montreal have Armada Starscream, that yellow construction guy, Skywarp, Voyager Whirl, AOE Drift and Lockdown.

Its not a sighting but I just tried preordering the exclusive TRU sets (ex: Autobots United) and sure enough, they will not be shipped to Quebec as there is no english on the boxes.

Hey, TrU, special delivery, from me to you:

Deluxe lockdown found at walmart barrhaven (Ottawa).

If anyone wants a copy of the receipt for price match regarding those cheap dinobot warrior construct bots at target. This one is of lockdown who usually goes for 24.99 but who was priced at 7.50$

Found thr Evolution 2 pack Grimlock at my local TrU.



Sigh... The thing is 50$, AoE voyager Grimlock have very minor deco differences with the original, and that "classic" Grimlock... What a piece of crap. Just look at the thing! Where the hell does it come from?

For once there's a TrU Exclusive TF set coming to Quebec, it have to be the poopy one.

I liked the other 2 pacs with Slug and Strafe. The minicons were fun and had a nice G1-esque deco.

But I will tell you this, I think that this piece of crap set is just balancing out how amazing that Target exclusive set is and its price. I am still so amazed at the deco and how much I paid for it, its a GREAT set (optimus looks so good in that truck mode).

I just find so unfair that it's TrU who have the BEST exclusives and 90% of those exclusives never come to Quebec because they are (racist?) bastards. Is that so hard to put some fawking French on the boxes?

While TrU have huge sets, MPs, and Platinums, Walmart is stuck with overpriced legends repaints, and Target, with Silver Knight Optimus.

Sure, Target did have ONE exclusive at a stupid crazy price. But for those who already owned the molds, it's just a nice bonus. It's not like aving a Rusty Optimus, a G1 colored Supreme Starscream, or FREAKING MASTERPEICES.

The TRU exclusive Optimus Prime Duo Evolution 2 pack is now available to pre-order on toysrus.ca for the fair price of 49.99 cdn$

And there is french on the box, meaning that like the other evolution packs, it will be coming to ALL of Canada (along with the US).

The expected shipping date is October 17.

Good to know. At least, it will be better than the Grimlock 2 pack. That Energon Grimlock mold suck big time! Nothing compared to Classic Optimus.

Still, I don't know if I'll buy that Optimus pack because the deco differences are not big enough for me to buy the molds I already own all over again. Maybe when it'll be on clearance.

Since I own no mold, this pack is far more tempting for me than it is for you. But these toys go on 25% sales all the time so I will wait for that and buy it then. Hopefully the 2 pack with the Grapnel mold will be available then too.

Being you (having none of them), I wouldnt wait for a sale. The classic Optimus mold usually go for crasy prices on Ebay no matter the color. Also, that's 2 great voyagers for 25$ each instead of 30$. To make sure you don't get screwed by the scalpers, make sure you grab a set as soon as you see it. Especially at 50$. You could always get a second one to keep sealed if it ever go on clearance by any chances.

Yeah, on second thought, even though I have a Henkei Optimus and a AOE Evasion OP, I will buy a set on sight, just to keep it sealed. I'm pretty sure the scalpers will go crazy on this. Everyone should have a chance at at least one set, if they have as many as that horrible Grimlock set.

That classics Optimus is FAAAAAAR from Henkei quality.

Look at the comparitive images between the 2 alt modes. I know its obvious, but just to clarify: the one with all the missing pain aps is the one coming in the evolution 2 pack

i just studied them side but side. and while everyones entitled to their own opinions, say one far out weighs the other i think is a bit of a stretch.

they both have chrome, and have about the same amount of paint apps each. theyre just different is all. in my opinion theyre quite comparitive.

if it comes down your opinion being swayed by the chrome crotch and thighs (basis being scheme of G1 toy), thats just a matter of taste. but bang for buck, this one cant be beat.

according to someone over at TFormers, leader class jetfire has landed in canada! quebec to be precise. start hunting!

That Classic OP coming in the 2pack is colored EXACTLY like the G1 original. So, for it's own good, and for only 25$, this is a steal.

Also, Jetfire in Québec?! I wonder where and how much. I suspect 60$tx.

Ok, I see now how it was made after the G1 scheme. I was more taken back by the unpainted window and lights in truck mode. But I still find the unpainted shield kind of drab

to be perfectly honest, that unpainted window... i didnt realize it was a window until you said it

since ive lived with that oversight the past however many years this molds been out, i can live with it. and personally the roof gun thing left unpainted doesnt bug me either. the only thing i dont like is the clear chest windows, though i understand theyre clear because the G1's were.
