If anyone is game I'd appreciate robot and alt mode pics with a standard deluxe like Starscream or Bumblebee.

Shocking lack of pics in this thread now that they have been released

Wow, Cogz sizes well with BB. Maybe the price isn't such a gigantic rip off after all.
If there are no functional issues I can see myself being content with Cogz and Duneraker. Yeah, despite Dune's colours.

Looking at the photos Arctorro posted (thank you for sharing those with everyone) it is a shame that the "red" on Veer and Cogz are slightly faded, but I kind of like how they look. It's nice to have colouring that extends beyond the basic colour palette that most Transformers seem to come in. Of course I may have had a different opinion if the colours in question were those character's primary colour, but that's not how I see them.

lol Oh ok. How do you feel about GDO Cliffjumper? I believe he can be found pretty cheaply. as for Classics Cliff I believe he can be had for $25? I brought the Head upgrade for him and I love it but.... its not worth another $25.. haha

The so called red on Veer is the worst of the lot. Someone said he was pink and they really weren't that far off. Cogz' is still at least light blue and red.
Really like the mould, but just don't think GDO CJ works. Classics CJ is $65+ on eBay atmmooncake623 wrote:Arctorro wrote:No probsmooncake623 wrote:Thanks for the pictures!! who is the guy in red on the first picture on the right side suppose to be? yea guess that's not feasible for Australia
about GDO CJ his hands are too big but other then that I think it looks good with classics but maybe newer classics likes like generations I can see how it looks out of place with classics 1.0
head sculpt on the GDO is great though

GDO was a weird subline. It either works for you or it doesn't.
GDO Cliffy works for me, but I can see why it wouldn't for others.

Re: iGear Cogz/Bushwhacker/Duneraker/Veer
$25 is cheap! Too bad you can't have someone get that one on ebay, then ship it to you the slowest, cheapest service possible. Or maybe that guy will check on it?
That said, you might be able to find someone in Japan or China who has one available that could ship cheaper? Kinda long shot, but worth checking. Maybe Chimungmung.com or someone has one handy.

Re: iGear Cogz/Bushwhacker/Duneraker/Veer
- Motto: "My banjo is everything; defeat is ukelele"
so I now have these 4 in the flesh, and I will briefly summarise what I think of each
Outback (Bushwhacker) - 5/10
colour wise, this figure is fine and shares all the good and bad points of Hench. The headsculpt is nice actually but they really should have remoulded the chest to have the signature 'abs' from the old figure. This guy needs a decent set of Reprolabels, and even then how are they going to provide a sticker to make the abs when the chest area has that ridged contour? I was pleased that they provided his G1 weapon, but dismayed that the handle is way, way too big for the fist and spare wheel holes. I had to massively cut the handle down with a scalpel. Yet again iGear prove their shittiness.
Swerve (Veer) - 7/10
This figure is actually very nice, but marred by the strange red used. I don't actually mind it that much though, but the red has a pinkish hue and reminds me of the colour of germolene. Again the paint apps are rather sparse, but I was pleasantly surprised by the chest detailing and paint apps, which are better than the standard iGear fare. The head is very difficult to pose and rotate for the other face due to the tiny space it sits in. I don't think this figure will last long in my collection though due to the arrival of the new Hasbro figure.
Gears (Cogz) - 6/10
I don't mind the washed out/pastel colour scheme too much in isolation, but I think it's a lot worse when posed next to someone like cliffjumper. The nasty grey plastic from Hench also makes a cameo here, making these guys far crapper in hand than they appear in photos. Perhaps Reprolabels can salvage something out of this one. Again, a case of good design let down by poor implementation.
Beachcomber (Duneraker) - 5/10
This figure is very simplistic and was definitely upscaled from a more palatable seaspray size. It is crying out for reprolabels. There are 3 paint apps on the entire figure - the wheels, the visor, and a pathetic bit of yellow on the midriff. Also the blue is way wrong, although at least the colour used is a strong shade and not muted. Criminally, the hands can easily be seen from the side of the vehicle mode because they do not stow properly which is just shoddy design.
Well, there we go. I will probably purchase Wheelie but other than that I would never buy another iGear product again.

Plus I forgot to mention that the guns look really stupid, for the most part. The Tommy gun and mini-gun, along with Hench's shotgun look silly as hell. Ballistic weaponry (and especially human designed at that) being for the most part incongruous with TFs anyway. Outback's gun is nice but then it's based on the original. iGear seem to struggle greatly with original designs and instead looked at real world weapons that they thought would look 'cool' in the hands of TFs. Beachcomber's rifle is great though once the flower is removed from the barrel, I'm thinking of donating it to Perceptor.

Re: iGear Cogz/Bushwhacker/Duneraker/Veer
I wish I had the balls to dye Duneraker blue using Rit Dye like a member on TFW2005 did.
Its just too expensive a piece to attempt to do it for me.
I really wish Duneraker was a ever so slightly darker shade. He doesn't have to be a dark blue but at least something better than the light cyan that we got.
If Igear treats this like Rager and makes the G1 colors a limited edition sort of thing that would be real stinky.
Its just too expensive a piece to attempt to do it for me.
I really wish Duneraker was a ever so slightly darker shade. He doesn't have to be a dark blue but at least something better than the light cyan that we got.

Re: iGear Cogz/Bushwhacker/Duneraker/Veer
Uploaded this at TFW, but I'll upload it here too. All my "minibots". I think Dune and Cogz fit in well enough. And I think I can get used to the colours. But I gotta admit, igear screwed up big time. I don't get why they fel the need to change the colours to something else. It's not even like it's their TV palette and it's not like they're shy about IP infringement.
Anyway, I feel good about these guys. Good, but not great. I think I can get used to the colours. Cogz is a pain to transform, but I do like the overall look and can get used to the colours.

Sweet pic! For all these figures flaws, having a complete 1984 & 1985 lineup is pretty satisfying. I really hope Hasbro redeco Windcharger into Tailgate soon, then the minibots are done!

Those group pics looks sweet. Its amazing how once you get them all together I start to not care much about scale or the colors.
I'd be curious if reprolabels could make a sweet set for Duneraker though? Right now I have a rub symbol on his leg just like the g1 toy.....
