From Hasbro, this may be the case. But it's Takara we're talking about. And if they want to make an expensive figure, they don't dick around with crowdfunding.
Best example is the set of MTG Super Ginrai and God Bomber. Those two together cost me over 800$CAN. That's the same price as my TWO sets of HASLAB Victory Saber.
