I don't know if I'm able to watch this at least tommorow...I guess I'm not up for the show anymore. Maybe it's the complaints aimed at it are vaild or I could be just letting opinions getting the better of me who knows.

I saw grimwings alt mode head in the promo. Maybe we'll see him in show.

Why bother keeping track at all? It's an exercise in madness as is.
That said, this promo was quite awesome. A nice, logical reason to find Predacons on Earth.

And, where would the missiles go? Where could they possible fit on that little guy without having to remove them and set them to the side?
The Cyberverse figure uses the entire vehicle mode design, not just the star or deco.
Look, I get what you are saying, and I really think at this point we are just arguing for the sake of argument. I would never have expected them to retool a cyberverse legion figure, obviously, but considering that it is just a straight repaint I am saying that I could see the deluxe figure as well as the show model being the same - a straight repaint or recolour. Maybe with a new head. Maybe will missiles. What I don't see are them giving him the unique arms/legs of the oft "quoted" picture, and I suspect that if we see Prowl in the show it will be as a straight re-colour of Smokescreen's body. I don't know this, any more than you know he will look exactly like that picture. Plus, neither one of us has any idea if he will even be in the show, nor does any one else who isn't involved in making the show.
At this point, I think we have veered enough off topic, so if you want to continue our debate, we should either find a more appropriate thread or take it to PM. However, since we have pretty much been arguing in circles here, I'm willing to end it here. I don't think I've said anything new in the last few posts, just keep re-hashing the same info. Have you?
Let's just let it die, and when/if Prowl shows up in the show, one of us will be able to say "I told you so" and do this:
Fair enough?

Yep, I'm excited for this episode.
Is it possible that Shockwave used an old compact ship or the space bridge he was working on to send the Predaclones there within the 70-million year gap between FoC and Prime after the exodus, and that Megatron gave Shockwave those orders remotely from the Nemesis that was, at the time, planet-hopping, therefore when the Predaclones were awaiting Megatron's arrival, it is because they had assumed the space bridge had taken them within Earth's close proximity, when in fact it would take them a little longer to get there? That's kind of a serious question. I haven't read Exiles.
Dude, we've been relic hunting since season one. Why did you think were going to stop after the second season?

Season 1 also wasn't reliant upon them (or at least spaced them out). Season 2's relic hunt felt like it went on longer than it should have. We don't need more of the same type of plot.

Going back to Earth being unknown, didn't Optimus take Ratchet to an ancient Cybertronian battle site on Earth during the original five parter?
As for relic hunting, meh. I'll be surprised and happy if this one takes place mostly offscreen.

Guys, these are the same people who gave us Jackie Chan Adventures, which was basically "MacGuffin Hunt: The Show".
As for the question, Megatron explicitly states in this clip that the Predaclones were sent "during" the war. By the time of FOC, the war is over, with the Great Exodus being in full force. I think it's safe to say that the official ending of the war was when the Core was cleansed of Dark Energon and shut down to heal itself.
Well, firstly, turns out the "70 million years ago" thing is inaccurate, as the FOC comic declared that the meteor that hit Earth and killed all the dinosaurs (which occurred 65 million years ago) already happened long before the time of the FOC comic and game. The new Beast Hunters comic reveals that the Great Exodus took place only "thousands of years ago" instead.PrymeStriker wrote:Is it possible that Shockwave used an old compact ship or the space bridge he was working on to send the Predaclones there within the 70-million year gap between FoC and Prime after the exodus, and that Megatron gave Shockwave those orders remotely from the Nemesis that was, at the time, planet-hopping, therefore when the Predaclones were awaiting Megatron's arrival, it is because they had assumed the space bridge had taken them within Earth's close proximity, when in fact it would take them a little longer to get there? The goal of hunting the Iacon Relics is essentially the same as hunting for any MacGuffin in any series: Whoever gets them gets control of their power and a bigger advantage over the other team.Noideaforaname wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Guys, these are the same people who gave us Jackie Chan Adventures, which was basically "MacGuffin Hunt: The Show".

Same with going after the energon deposits and stasis pods in Beast Wars, the sparks in Beast Machines, the O-Parts and other Fort Max-related tech in RiD, the Mini-Cons in Armada, the energon sites in Energon, the Cyber Planet Keys in Cybertron, and the AllSpark fragments in Animated.

@Sabrblade -
What I meant was, in Jackie Chan, we typically knew there was a specific number of things to look out for and the villains had a specific goal for said things; i.e. the dragon needed 12 talismans so he could restore his body. Apart from the Omega Lock keys, Prime really didn't have a goal in mind for anything. The Polarity Gauntlet, Apex Armor, Phase Shifter, most of the relics didn't have much of a purpose (besides the rather vague "more power") and often were just tucked away and forgotten about (until Smokescreen showed up).

They've been throwing that term around in this show since the first episode of season 2. Same with the term "Exodus".Mechastrike wrote:did Megs just say "War for Cybertron?"
The Ark and the many Autobots aboard it also got a mention by Arcee in episode 54.

Well, since we knew that there were only 26 episodes in season 2, and the whole relic hunting ordeal didn't really kick off until after the second half of the season, and that it seemed to be a "one relic per episode" formula most of the time, I think it was safe to assume back then how many relics there were based on the number of episodes remained from the time the routine relic hunting started.Noideaforaname wrote:@Sabrblade -

Yes, I agree that a set number would have been helpful, but the way they went with still kept us guessing and curious as to what would come next.
It's just like what they did in all those other TF series examples I gave (minus the Keys in Cybertron and O-Parts in RiD, since those did have a set number).
IIRC, didn't they hint at them trying to figure out from time to time why the relics were on Earth in the first place? That would serve as foreshadowing to the revelation of why they were there and why they needed to be hunted, which came in the form of Alpha Trion's recorded message in the Star Saber.Noideaforaname wrote:and the villains had a specific goal for said things; i.e. the dragon needed 12 talismans so he could restore his body.
