TRU Surrey had them so they should be in or hitting around the Lower Mainland now.

Cool! So I guess it's only just Deluxes at this point? The ones I really want are the Voyagers.

At least with what they had on display. One column of 4 hooks with the Animated Deluxes stuck between the Star Wars, and Movie Deluxes.

Grabed a Bumblebee while i was there. I should be at the Metrotown Tru later today, i'll post if they've anything different.

Well, I headed up to Orillia Wal-Mart to look around for something to spend my hard-earned cash on.

And I found a few surprises.

Firstly, all 4 of the Animated line figures released early to Canada have been spotted at Orillia Wal-Mart. I myself picked up all 4 of them. :)

Secondly, 2 of the Wal-Mart exclusives, Jolt & Divebomb, have been spotted in Orillia Wal-Mart as well. I picked myself up a Jolt, & unfortunately, to my knowledge, there was only 1 Jolt there, & about 5 Divebombs. :)

Thirdly, I myself have spotted the older Allspark Power figures, including Incinerator & Evac. I was looking to get Incinerator, but didn't have enough cash. :-(

Sorry, this was my post. Forgot to log in.

Also, I headed to Orillia Zellers, & spotted all 3 of the Target-exclusive Scouts. I picked up Crosshairs. Also spotted were the Target-exclusive Allspark deluxes Jazz, Brawl, & Barricade. I did not get one of them, one, because I already have the original movie figures, & two, I didn't plan on getting these.

That is news. I had bought them from a seller in the US and it cost me less than buying them up here even with shipping taken into account.

We posted a sale about two or three weeks ago about Zellers having a sale on them. I think 2337 was the one to bring it up.

Yeah, Animated Deluxe Prime is a great figure, but the only thing that I didn't like about the figure was the lack of body in the back area, to me, it just makes it feel frontheavy. Still, it is a good figure.

Anyways, back on topic, I may be heading back up to Orillia or Barrie later this month, so, I'll report what I'll see there for all of ya.

Metrotown TRU has no Animated, but most of Movie deluxes (including many classic Camaro Bumblebees) and some of the 2-packs.

Ages Three And Up has all the newest Target exclusive scouts, all the latest deluxes, 1 Evac, and at least 2 each of Premium leader Prime & Megatron. There were also a few MP-04 Convoys, at least 1 MP-05 add-on kit, and about 6 Takara USA Edition Starscreams, not to mention several Commemorative Series Reissue Ultra Magnuses (damaged boxes, mint figs), a few Encore Ratchets & Ironhides, and a whole bunch of Encore Skylynxes. A veritable treasure trove, but nothing I was looking for. No sign of Animated yet, but my source (store owner Spencer  ) tells me they should be on their way quite soon, perhaps even before they show up at TRU. They were first to get all the Movie figs around here.

Forgot to check Zellers, but they never have anything.

My bad. Nice to see that Zellers is able to carry these up here so we don't miss out. How much are they at Zellers? 14.99?

TF Animated in Kitchener, ON!

Postby Cyber-Kun » Sat May 03, 2008 10:55 am

Hey guys, went to TRU in Kitchener, Ontario (about an hour away from Toronto) and sure enough, there were the first wave of animated toys, I couldn't find any voyagers thuogh, but they might've been sold out. Picked up deluxe Lockdown and Cyb. Optimus Prime.
This is huge news to me because usually the TRU and Wlmarts have horrible, horrible stock of TF.
Methinks that animated isn't going to be hard to obtain in the future. I'll post pics and receipt later today.

Ok, so maybe a month is a bit of wishful thinking. But from the patterns I see, anytime BBTS throws up pre-orders at the start of the line Canada always see's a super early release.

 Yay for Canada!!

Yes, I agree with what you said there, Down-shift, by the time BBTS gets pre-orders up, almost every TF hunter in Canada will already be on the "prowl" for Animated figures, & maybe even Universe figures while the US has to wait.

If reports do come flying in about spottings of Animated Voyagers & maybe even Leaders, 'tis would be a happy day for many Canadian TF hunters.

Must have sold out. I bought Prowl from that location about 6pm Thursday night, and the BB the day before from the Surrey location.

They had the first 4 deluxe animated at the Zellers at Sheridan Mall and Erin Mills Town Centre in Mississauga yesterday. If they had them at Sheridan Mall, every Zellers in Canada should have them... Happy hunting.
