AdventPrime wrote:So how exactly can we put the missile launchers for vehicle mode? The original City Commander trailer didn't have the holes that Powered Commander has to allow the missile launchers to be attached in trailer mode. Will the re-release have the holes that Powered Commander has?
REMINATOR wrote:I just pre-ordered the add on accessories.
Hm, the ads claimed the missile launchers will work for both robot and vehicle mode just like the G1. I don't know if this true for the original City Commander since only one side of the trailer has hole.
Not a big lost since I'm displaying in robot mode anyway. I'm just glad the launchers and the dual gun are released as a separate set. They should've done this in the beginning, ehehee.

it was a nice gesture on Zod's part, and your as well, nice to know I got friends who got my back.. this community is very supportive of each other.. and I am proud to call myself a member..![]()
On a side note: I need to go back to the Seibertron gallery and check on the images of the CC in trailer mode, since mine is in storage.. so I can view the pegs.. the add did say that the missile launchers were made for the new release and the original, so maybe they will fit on both in trailer mode..someone needs to question Fans Project on this..and maybe find out if the rerelease is going to also be updated to the new mold fixes or if it is just a straight rerelease..
questions that certainly need answering..

I was looking at the pictures for the add-on preorder, and due to the design of the launchers, it may be able to peg onto the rectangular-shaped tab which exists on the trailer part, with the circular peg facing outward, because of the lack of a hole for it to fit into. That's just speculation on my part, but hopefully it's correct and we can all display our City Commanders with missiles out in trailer mode.
Someone who owns a Powered Commander may be able to confirm if it's possible to attatch the launchers in that manner.
Counterpunch wrote:Guys, the launchers on Powered Commander have small, tight "U" clips on them. These clips have the peg which plugs into the robot/vehicle. I'm sure that the upgrade parts will have a different "U" clip in order to attach to the original City Commander.
It Is Him wrote:I trust that this accessory won't suck, and I trust that the missiles will attach in vehicle mode. And if I'm wrong, well, I've definitely spent $12 on dumber things. Like ROTF Soundwave

Hey once it's yours you can make it anything you want to! But be warned we can fully expect to get versions for Shadow and Diaclone upgrades. What repainting were you planning?

See that's the thing.. I love the classic colors but when I see something that is viewed as armor I just don't see it in those colors.I'n thinking out making it more metallic and worn. I 've tinkered with trying to make my own armor for this line but I could never get it all to fit into a trailer..Which leads me to another question.. How does the armor collapse into the trailer? I'm very curious..

are you sure about that..

No.
I mean it's not like I went and checked my CC, PC, and NC figures side by side and took the time to take apart the PC missile launchers to get you some kind of information on the matter.
I'm sure I was just imagining the fact that the missile launchers come apart into 4 distinct parts (2 missiles, launcher, attachment clip).
Whatever.

whoa! you have had a consistent irritable streak here lately (hope all is fine).. I meant no offense by asking if you were sure, just trying to figure out the rational, or see if you have a link or something to that "U" clip.. I just wanted to understand what you were talking about is all..

It's cool. No worries.
The original CC does not have vehicle mounting holes for the launchers.
All I'm saying is that if FansProject is going to release the launchers seperately, they'll need to make them backwards compatible. The U-clips are the method for attachment, so they'll be what changes.
The U-clips are tight and almost seemless, so you can't tell they're there. Those will be the things that have to change IF the launchers are backwards compatible.
It Is Him wrote:This is off-topic, but why the heck aren't we getting a CJ reissue upgrade kit if Fansproject is willing to reissue City Commander? Seriously. I want an affordable CJ kit that's not a KO, and I know I'm not the only one.

wouldn't that be interesting, to see an Armor colored Armor made out of one of these trailer upgrades..
all silver might be boring.. you might consider a bit of Gold or liker 1 color to break up the monotony..just a suggestion..
I'd love to see what you come up with.. as for the trailer itself.. go to youtube.com, and check out the videos for City commander or Powered commander.. use the search tool, and all of the trailer transformation will be revealed..

HolyI guess it's a good thing I don't need that set then .. That's ridiculous.Has the CC set ever gotten that high?
--B-- wrote:I have an original release CC, and love it, and I pre-ordered the upgrade set, so I am hoping it fits well, as I don't feel comfortable altering it in any way. I could live without it being able to connect in trailer mode, cause mine is pretty much pemanatly in bot mode.
