What about those of us who don't have the original (G1 or Energon), and want this one!? I know none of you give a flying ^*$%&^$ about the rest of us (I was told to set myself on fire for liking Energon Ironhide...nice, thanks @$$ho**), and you could probably care less if all your complaining keeps those of us who want it from getting it, but just shut the *^*(&^%* up already, or we're going to piss & moan about a figure all of you want, just make sure you never see it.

And we'll all be laughing our asses off when you buy it, realize what a crappy ass figure it is and a rip off at 30.00, and didn't listen to those of us who made the original mistake of buying it, because at least we didn't know any better. So what's gonna be YOUR excuse?

I for one think it's a great figure. Well implemented transformations, very orignal, great combiner mode, and very articulate. It's leaps and bounds better then G1 Devastator and well worth the $30, especially to those who weren't around for Energon. I just hope others on the boards aren't discouraged by others who think it's a waste of time and money. Everyone, including you and TENIME_art are entitled to your own opinions but I for one wouldn't sell the figure short just yet.

not to mention its one thing to have an opinion and share it and another to have an attitude and be a jerk.

I'm in the category that Down Shift is talking about where I wasn't around for Energon and I like this coloring better than the Maximus version. I'll gladly waste $30 on this repaint and my excuse will be not to pass up a good deal simply because it isn't a 100% G1 accurate Devastator, let's face it, doubt we'll ever see them get spot on close anymore with the old designs and names.

Looks like they're hitting the shelves already. And at $29.76, to be precise. Check it out.

J to the R ment trains as in combiners released in the US.
i know hence the bolded "let alone train transformers" part of the statement

Sorry, help me out here... if you know he ment combiners then why did you say Astrotrain? He was never a combiner :???: Not trying to be rude, just curious.

I see what he's done, assuming JelZe meant,"Hw many train transformers were there in the US that were combiners and not standalone figures?", which is how I've read it.

By typing "let alone train transformers", JelZe GoldRabbit has implied there were no train transformers in the US, period. This is why Cujo commented on Astrotrain and emboldened the aforementioned clause.

If JelZe had intended to refer solely to train combiners, as you pointed out, then he had no need to say "let alone train transformers". Cujo was right to comment given the way JelZe phrased his post.

I agree with the too many Landfill repaints, but I just didn't like Landfill much at all. The Universe Devastator was ok, I really like the colors on it. Repaints can be fine, I suppose it depends on if you like the original figure or if the repainted one catches your eye more than the original.
My fav Energon combiner was Bruticus, but Constructicon Max was in second place. I for one look forward to Classics Devastator, and if I didn't like it, I probably just wouldn't buy it.
However, I am excited.

As it should be.

The thing was a p.o.s. for energon, and i'm sure it hasn't changed.

Just cause you repaint a broken down car doesn't make it a BMW.
