I never saw ANY Beachcombers, Warpaths, Cosmos, or Wheelies at retail. They came out right before the ROTF toys came out and I guess many stores didn't buy them. Frustrating.

I feel ya. I got Warpath, Cosmos, and Wheelie (and I loved them) but never Beachcomber or Brawn, and I really wanted a Brawn (first official Autobot I ever owned was G1 Brawn). I looked and looked and looked, but never found one. I supposed I could've bought one online, but that's not a good option for me for various reasons.

I totally feel legends class is appropriate for guys like these, who were originally minibots, and I really don't mind legends class of what should be larger guys, I don't buy them, but they don't bug me. That said, I do want these G1 Reveal the Shield legends of Prime, Megs, Goldbug, etc.

Is it a little unfortunate that Trailbreaker hasn't had a bigger version? Sure. But better a legend than nothing, and if the legend does well it can only help the chances of a deluxe down the line. Hound got both, just gotta have some patience and hope for the best.

I already have a Prime, Megs, Starscream and Prowl in deluxe size, so I'm not getting them.
Trailbreaker is way too small, so I'm not getting him.

That leaves Goldbug, which I'm suitible happy for

I just think that if they continued the tradition of making new legends figures, we could've completed the minibots collection by now.

So well, saves me some money.

Weren't legends toys made so people who couldn't afford the larger Transformers can have their Starscream, Megatron, etc?

You're all complaining about that? Wow. To hell with those who earn less than you, eh?

Nice putting words into my mouth =; . I have/had no idea what they're for. To me, they're just small, cheap Transformers.

Every time a Legend is made, we get denied a Scout, or at least half of one. People complain about G1 toys being bricks but very few were as cheap looking as these Legends.

I had the misfortune of taking a chance on Legends Hound and Jazz and I haven't been so disappointed with a Jazz toy since the dodgey inner robot of the Pretender version. At least the Actionmaster version had some articulation, looked like his toon self and could fit snugly in the Pretender shell. Hound makes G1 Wheelie look cool.

One thing that really kills me about Legends is the repaints they get that would have looked so good on their larger counterparts. For example, Perceptor and Blades. Legends Blades looked a lot more like his G1 self than the Voyager repaint did. Trypticon and Hun-gurrr would have been nice at the Voyager scale. At least we got the Sunstorm repaint on the Titanium Seeker mold.

Of course I get equally annoyed with all the deluxe cars and jets. I wish all the cars were scouts so as to fit in with the G1 reissues but that's just me. Still we're getting Scout class Windcharger whose going to look nice with Encore Ironhide and Ratchet with their custom heads, Robotmasters Mirgae and G1 Prowl and Jazz.

Look, I'm not out to offend anyone, just voicing my opinion. I will say I liked the Legend figure of Animated Prowl and hope to pick up the Legend version of ROTF Ravage. I would love some more Scout cars though.

If the sales are good, there will be deluxe figures. Hasbro proved it with Hound and G2 Megatron, and once again with Jazz. I'm sure there's a deluxe Trailbreaker sculpt ready in HasTaks desk.

You're the one who so emphatically called them a waste. Except HasTak don't make toys just with you in mind. Legends toys are for folks who don't have the budget for larger TFs, just like when the minibots back in the day sold well, because they were cheaper than the bigger toys.

Classics Hotshot, Galvatron and Optimus didn't exactly become crowd pleasers, either, and they were deluxes. You're just going to come across molds you don't like, regardless of what size they are.

Because they ARE a waste!!! Tiny poorly-made little pieces that belong more in 1984 than today. Material that can be used for TFs that have... I don't know, joints?

Yeah, they're not for me. Or others, apparently.

You completely miss the point that they didn't have you and your plastic crack addiction in mind when they were making them. Those "wastes of plastic" sell, they are not going to disregard a whole market just to make you happy.

To say that they're "poorly-made" is such a blanket ad hominem, isn't it? We can find examples of that in the bigger size classes you crave.

But you can always start some sort of campaign for HasTak to stop making legends, because they offend you in some way. Look at how effective that Spastic campaign turned out.

Hmm, I don't buy Henkai, repaints, FABs or about... 75-80% of TF toys out there. I complain about the Legends because... they're tiny and poorly-articulated and somehow I've got the addiction, despite people snapping these things up when they don't have to. =;

I have legit complaints about them.

So start a media campaign then. Maybe some media outlet will pick up the cause and front page it. Then HasTak will have to grovel, apologize to you, and promise they'll never make legends again.

Then of course, the budget they save from canning legends goes to making more speed stars.

YOU are blowing this out of proportion. And now I leave you to this... but please, enjoy your tiny TFs!

People here see a legends toy of someone who wasn't originally a small bot, and they go "I'm disappointed," "what a waste", "I already have deluxe Prime, so I'm not getting him".

What exactly makes these people think HasTak only have them in mind when they were making these children's toys?

I don't think that's a bad line of thinking (the bolded part). I'm personally very selective with my purchases. It has nothing to do with liking or disliking the Legends size class (or FAB, or others, etc), it's more personal limits I've set due to budget and not wanting redundancy in my collection. I don't need a tiny version of Prime in this particular line because I already have a bigger one. I'm not saying they shouldn't be made, like others are suggesting, just that I won't be buying it.

i have to say i've been disappointed with legends class in general for a while now... they're 'ok', but they haven't done any new ones as good as the cybertron series... i'd like it if they returned to that level of sculpt & transform again... i do, however, have to give it up for legends class warpath, of all of that series, he's the only one with both elbows _&_ knees, as well as ball jointed hips & shoulders, limited as they may be :-)
