Could be legit. Dirge is blue as well, and they are possibly trying to avoid seeming to scam everyone by having two identical looking jets in the set. Not that they can really hide their con act anyway.
Ever since these assclowns took over the Convention, it's been a total ripoff, anyway. Repaints of $10 figures that are clogging toy shelves near you for 500% profit per figure. 'Souvenir' figures that complete the assrape by insuring you'll go to the convention, so you get to go see the world's largest ball of twine.
Sorry Master Collector, I'll just buy some of the Ramjets and Starscream's filling the peghooks near me and create my own Seeker set for around $60. Dillholes.

tentagil wrote:My guess Thundercracker will use the Skywarp deco with his own colors. Dirge will be a straight Ramjet Repaint, and Thrust will have new wings. Dreadwind is speculated to be a Jetfire repaint over on the club forums and Bugbite is of course a white Bumblebee repaint.
Who knows what the extras or attendee freebie will be, but I'd make a bet Sunstorm is one of them, and probably a selection of Autobots. We'll find out when Botcon kicks off.

Well one thing that the exclusives are good for is getting at least minor re-moulds. I could see Dirge and Thrust getting new wings from the Ramjet mould. Bugbit I doubt would need any remoulding and I can't see dreadwing getting any special treatment. I would guess that the figures outside of the five piece set will get some re-moulding. kind of like Darksyde Megatron.Agamemnon wrote:I'll make a couple of bets here. The obvious is that Thundercracker will be a strict re-paint of Starscream and Skywarp (hopefully with a more show accurate paint scheme than the guesses I've seen here so far. The black and blue Thundercracker is pretty neat, but too much black in my opinion.)
Here's the sticky ones. Despite what should be done, I'm betting that:
Dirge will be a strict re-paint of the Ramjet mold. No alteration of the wings, just blue body and beige wings with appropriate accents.
Thrust will be a repaint of the Starscream/Skywarp mold with the only mold change being the Ramjet conehead. He will be red. Perhaps a paint scheme that implies thrusters in the wings, but I'm betting there will be no re-mold of the wings to include the vertical thrusters.
This is what I am betting for Dirge and Thrust. Any takers? This guess is based off of what they did a few years ago with Ironhide/Ratchet and what they could have done making a few minor mold changes, which they did not do.

Ohh and Dirge would need to have yellow almost copper like colored Wings so he would be far from looking like Thundercracker.

Tried it. Hated it. The conehead thing never really did it for me (too Go-Bot-ish), and the absense of useful hands and the...*ahem* "codpiece" sorta ruined it.
O.k so he's not really the best Seeker mold. But just to show you how much i care, i give you Classics *ah* *hum* Green Seeker.
