These better pics definitely make my purchase decision a lot easier. He can't hit store shelves soon enough. Now if I can just bring myself to spend money on any of the other DOTM toys...
Currently in need of: RID Rail Spike robot mode head (not Rail Racer's head); RID Midnight Express gun; RID Rapid Run missile; Animated Ultra Magnus' Hammer

This looks like a great figure, but as I have said before, such a great-looking design really needs a Leader class, although I suppose if we don't get Leader figures of Shockwave or Megatron, I'll probably get the Voyager figures. I wonder how this Shockwave would fit into a Classics collection?

The best of the DOTM images we've seen thus far. The bot mod looks solid and the alt mode is inconsequential as far as I'm concerned. Like Megatron before him, he wasn't going to transform into a gun and he has to transform into something, otherwise he wouldn't be a transformer. A tank is as good as anything else, I guess. He's better than ANY Megatron movie mold that has been released since 2007, so I guess thats one thing. There are so few good molds in any of the baddest villian ever, its a shame really.
Oh, uh, anyway.....yeah. Fairly good Shockwave. Skipping it, however. Regardless if the DOTM line gets dramatically better in future waves, I'll probably be skipping the entire line. There was a lot of good figures that came from the ROTF line but I didn't get any of them. The movie-verse figures just do not inspire the collector in me. Too many figures of bots who didn't actually appear in the films. Not enough screen time for the "supporting" bots that actually did appear in the films to make you care enough to buy their figures. I'm thinking about getting rid of the few movie-verse figures I do have to clear some shelf space. I like the films plenty. The films just don't make me need the figures.

The best of this line I have seen so far.
I agree with the poster above about the movieverse overall.....not a fan.
However, the 2007 movie toys never got my attention, ROTF was a step up for the whole line in general. DOTM seems to take a step back, but if they make more toys like this shockwave, maybe.
So far I like the look even more than the Superlink version.

I will buying this realy cant wait, 3 points though i would of liked to have seen a light of some sort on his chest instead of the rib cage or at least underneath it,
And is the cannon able to come off the arm and attach to his back and he's shaped more like a leader class than voyager imo does'nt look that tall but has the bulk.

He's a Voyager, you can tell in the group shot with the other leaked figures. Not to say he won't end up with Leader class figure as well.

After looking at this thing I chose not to bother reading what seemed to be mostly praises over this POS. And that rib cage thing, WTF? Now after seeing one of the coolest of Decepticons sullied has made me decide that I will not lay down my hard earned currency to see another craptacular sequel. Sorry people but I got burnt by ROTF and I won't get burned again. This is NOT Shockwave worthy so you can keep it and you can keep DOTM....'nuff said!

Well, gee, thanks for actually not wanting to boycott, but instead let us keep Shockwave and the new movie. We will enjoy them very much.
You'll be one less person to worry about taking the last one at the store.
I think now I'm going to spend my hard earned currency on some ROTF figures I don't have yet.

I think they've done a really good job of staying faithful to the original toy and updating it into a Bayformer.
Now let's just hope that they decide to show some love to him in his G1 form and give us a Generations version and a G1 reissue!
