'07 is this weird hard gear shift in design philosophy frozen in it's midpoint, forever, in this toy. It maintains the quality in construction, joints, and plastic that made Cybertron great, and it also simplifies the freakish design so that it can actually function in toy form. He feels so solid in hand you could smash a car windshield with him, and not scratch the bot. He has a really middle/easy transformation that doesn't take all day and is fun to do. Plus his automorph TFing bits are entertaining.

Damn Cobs.... I've never heard it put like that... but that's brilliant! The first movie figures were really a learning curve for the designers, and a harsh one at that I bet. And they were before the cost cutting hollow days, so yeah they were all quite solid.

I loved '07 Leader Prime so much, I bought him 3 times! I bought the first standard release (gun), the Hasbro Premium release (added apps, silver paint, blade thingy), and THEN the Takara Premium Release (added apps, chrome, blade thingy). I still have the first release and the Takara Premium, and gave the Hasbro Premium to my bro. And whatevers thrown at us for movie Primes in the future won't change my love for the '07 mold. Which is why I find the MPM Prime complaints so odd.... just because ROTF Prime is awesome it shouldn't negate the awesomeness of this new MPM.

Understandable, and I only bought Barry because he was on sale. But dude... I don't know if I've ever been so excited for a Movie toy than TLK Leader Megs. It's not often that I'm 100& convinced of greatness JUST from pics :shock:

Man, I had that EXACT Evasionmus from the classics 2-pack. Had to give him away because reasons but it surprised me how much I actually liked a movie toy.
Aside from the face. Like you (and Thew) said, the face is always the worst part of any given movie toy.

2-pack Evasion Prime is way better than the original. Classics is hit and miss, it improves the robot deco but removes the details from the guns

Funnily enough, the gun thing didn't bother me at all specifically because I used evasionmus' gun instead as his ion blaster :lol:

As for the deco... Mm, I'm not sure. It reminds me of a Takara deco, being so accurate to a fault and to the extent of giving details and apps that the mold wasn't really designed for and hence don't work amazingly well and certain details are painted over - just toy-accuracy in this case instead of cartoon-accuracy. And I could really, really do without that chrome.

That said it's not like the decos awful or anything and I'm very happy with it; don't feel like I need a better version

plus even with evasionmus gone it was still a ridiculously good deal - £20 for the classics op mold!

See, I kinda have to disagree. Some movie heads are butt ugly, but there are several good ones that I do like. Barricades new head is pretty awesome, as is Berserker's. The movie 1 leader Prime had an awesome face, and the new Megatron has an awesome face too. If you get a bee with a faceplate it's pretty sweet too, as is Hounds.

I did. I got two fat stress marks on the tabs that connect to the post. It's an ok shield. I've been doing this a long time. I excepted backpacks into my heart when I was a wee little lad. Sometimes, even backpacks, can be AWESOME!

I share Cobs sentiment, I think you fine folks are pretty awesome and I think cold lampin' with ya is pretty awesome.

I find a lot of other stuff awesome to varying degrees (like things riding things or groups of dwarves) , but that's just lagniappe ;)^
