He is Hershey's brown just 'cause I get tired of looking at the default grey. His whole point for me is an exercise in asymmetry. At a certain point I had to turn off the symmetry sculpt function, and start getting weird. I still have a lot to do. Left arm needs some work, and he'll get a "head dress". If you will? :lol:

and.. He is just an Ent, or as my 4 year old calls him, Treeman. He doesn't have a story at the moment. I have some fantasy heros I've done. He could roll with them.

I meant to comment on this last week but by time Friday and the start of my STAY-cation got here everything went out the window.

Cobs I am expecting some order forms and shapeways-esque catalogue from you any day now...

No seriously that is way kewl. I actually have been testing the 3D waters as well, nothing so artistic as what you have created with Enty/Grooty dude :-D

I have more technical/engineering related plans (MUWAHAHAHA)... I totally want to take the plunge into the 3D printing world as well.

Can't wait to see more of your figures pics and of course more 3D and 2d art, speaking which I need to get to the Art-o-Tron (have not been notified but that don't mean nuttin')....

Dono, thanks man. Glad you like old Treeman there. I have been pushing more of the character angle. I'm using Cinema 4D which is really meant for animation. I'm sure I could get pretty technical with the modeling, but I need to explore the measurements and such. What software are you using for your evil plans?(Muwha ha ha ha! :twisted:

When the time comes, we should pool resources and compare notes about printing. I know what a 3D printer is, but that's about it. :lol:

I have bee trying (trials/free versions) out CAD programs and some animation programs that support 3D printing: AnimatorHD, Cubify, Autodesk, TinkerCAD.

Not sure which I like yet as I have not used one to print anything, as that requires a printer LOL.

I have been researching a lot of different types of printers and print tech from "print out of the box" to build your own (which appeals to the tinerer in me). So def when the time comes let's compare

From your experience, what is the usual turn around for BBTS to ship out an exchange. Tracking shows they received my return today but, no word from Cust. Serv.

The only bad part of this exchange situation is my impatience. :lol:

Speaking of BBTS and patience; I have sorta the opposite "problem" with them right now. They are telling me I have to ship my meager PoL within 30 days. Well I guess it's time to bulk up a bit. My email came from "Jenni".

I assumed that Jenni was just a fake name.

My PoL is really sad. It should be more like Pile of Stuff. A couple decks of playing cards (I have a bit of a playing card problem, not using them, just buying them), Mass Effect metal earth 3d model thingy, a 3p knock off bumblebee clone that was on sale a while back, MFB for Swerve and FoC Jazz :shock:

not another Jazz figure!

As far as filling it up, I'm like a kid in the candy store with holes in my pockets over there. But what I've been eyeballing for a long time and missed when it was on clearance is PRID Dark Energon Megatron. I might pick up the OP/Megs 2 pack if they still have it in stock when pay day comes back around. I've been wanting to get a "normal" Megs for my prime collection for a while now and the DE has always looked pretty cool to me.

I think it's just a matter of patience

But I would give'em till EOB monday before inquiring. I am surw they need to process your return before they can release the new product.

I haven't returned anything to them yet so this is all conjecture btw... LOL. But otherwise my having issues fixed with them has been only postive.

Itscram said I had patience but you know your PoL will only auto-ship after 6 months...that's patience LOL...

Cary - I picked up those DE Prime guys, minus Megatron. Mostly because that was a line I missed out on, and because I love me some translucent plastic. I'm like Hoggle from Labarynth when it comes to that shtuff. They are dope. I would have gotten Megs if I didn't already have the retail release, and also although his bot mode is killer, he is one of my least favorite TFs ever. But that DE deco looks AWESOME.
I went back to look at the current prices. :shock:

What's up with that!?! I got all 4 deluxes and Prime for like $40 shipped.

I am trainer for my company, so I know all to well what you mean by that type of patience

...Every once in a while I will have one of those folks that will try everyone's patience during the class and someone will come up after and ask me how I didn't (insert violent act here) to that person. LOL.
