He never used these weapons in the show, because he never had them; it's what he would have looked like, had the Headmaster more time to customize him. There goes show-accuracy.

Correct. I'm pretty sure that's what Derrick Wyatt said at one point. I can't find it right now, though...

Oh, alright, it makes sense now! I like that, actually.

Now does anyone know why Deluxe Prowl is armed with a bludgeon on a rope?

Such a weapon actually does exist. It's called a meteor hammer which is nothing more than a hammer or heavy weight on a rope. It's an ancient Chinese weapon, you should see Shaolin monks wield them two at a time ;)

Hmm, now that I think about it, Oil Slick's keg/chain weapon is like a meteor hammer too!

You are correct my good friend. Though it looks like it lacks the proper weight, the jagged edges make up for that :)

I collect only those figures I like - which is quite a lot in Animated. I mostly stay away from repaints though.

So far my collection includes:

Leaders
Ultra Magnus
Megatron
Bulkhead

Voyagers
Optimus Prime
Bulkhead
Wreck-Gar
Shockwave (both the grey and the purple version / displaying the grey oner as Longarm)
Starscream
Blitzwing
Grimlock
Jetfire & Jetstorm
Grimlock
Lugnut

Deluxe
Snarl
Swoop
Blurr
Jazz
Sentinel Prime
Ratchet
Prowl
Samurai Prowl
Swindle
Soundwave
Lockdown
Blackarachnia

Activators
BumbleBee
Currently looking for:
- the projectile for Cybertron Supreme Class Starscream's arm cannon
- a gun barrel for Classics Jetfire's (the little black thingy that plugs onto the front of his swing-out shoulder cannons)
- the rotor for Micromaster Tracer (from the Military Patrol)

If you have one of the above and want to part with it, please PM me!

I pretty much got everything I wanted from the line. At first I only wanted the Autobots from the show and went for figures that are relatively in scale with each other, so I went for Leader Bulkhead, which would my Voyager Optimus my prime pick and got activators Bumblebee. Only Prowl is out of scale from the rest but I like his Samurai armor.

But when the line fell into clearance, I got everything I wanted and at a lower price too. Having the line mostly in clearance really helped my collection grow.

Leader
Bulkhead
Ultra Magnus

Voyager
Optimus Prime
Grimlock
Starscream
Megatron
Blitzwing

Deluxe
Bumblebee
Prowl - regular and samurai
Jazz
Optimus Prime - cybertron and earth
Megatron
Sentinel Prime
Swoop
Snarl
Soundwave
Jetfire and Jetstorm

Activators
Bumblebee

I'm still hoping they release Hot Rod and Arcee and the supermode Prime with the magnus hammer. And I'd kill for a supreme class Omega Supreme, if Hasbro ever makes one.

Was there recent news that stated Hasbro isn't releasing Rodimus, Arcee, and Wingblade Optimus Prime? It's my understanding they're still set for a future wave in 2010.

Those toys better be released in sometime in the next year. They're too awesome not to see mass production.

Also, what's left to be released?

Deluxes:
Electrostatic Soundwave
Freeway Jazz
Arcee
Rodimus
Wasp
Ironhide
Cybertron Ratchet

Voyager:
Goldfire Grimlock
Hypdrive Bumblebee
Wingblade Optimus Prime
Blackout
Thundercracker

The way I see it, without any animated show airing, it will be hard to justify releasing a new TFA wave. I hope I'm wrong.

They're still coming folks, solely due to fans demand. :) Omega Supreme may never see a release, although Hasbro'd wanted to. Blame budget (only one Supreme toy per line) or sales.

And just added Blitzwing and Lugnut for cheap. ;)

Yup. The figure will be a redeco of Deluxe Bumblebee. It's "Fugitive Waspinator" so it's Wasp before he gets mutated.

And no new head unfortunately. It was either him or Ironhide, who's based on Ratchet (usually it's the other way around).

Yup but I'm fine with it. I'd rather Ironhide get a unique head sculpt. The character already has a dedicated Waspinator mold.

For me, its easier to list the ones I didn't buy.

Leader: Shadowblade Megatron, Roadbuster Ultra Magnus
Deluxe: Both Ratchets and Elite Guard Bumblebee
and a great majority of the Activators, Bumber Battles, and Power Bots.
