I'm guessing no one has considered the possibilities from Beast Wars/Machines? Adding biology to their technology (especially after the reformatting in BM) could actually have given Transformers the ability to reproduceNuclearConvoy wrote:shockblast2 wrote:
Geezz.......this is just getting effin stupid now. They are ROBOTS people. Robots. They do NOT have a penis or a vagina. They do not have sexual intercourse to reproduce. Therefore they CANNOT be male or female. Let alone some sick variant of those two. Its that simple. Why is this lost on a few of you to the point of delusional ramblings? Let alone making the tranformers into some sort of lame civil rights thing. They are TOYS. If you want to press some sort of political agenda, then hit the news sites or go protest something.
Well, except for the fact that since the original G-fragging-1 cartoon the Transformers have had at least two genders, which most often were accompanied by distinct physical differences from the so called Males of the species. Whether or not they reproduce sexually has nothing to do with their psychological genders or their sexual orientation and ability to fall in love (Hell, Powerglide and a human woman were in love, so that's like even more progressive).
And i particularly have a problem with the fact that you decided to use the word "sick" -- in its negative connotation -- to describe people who do not fit a narrow-minded binary.
Your entire argument is flawed and refuted by 31 years worth of cartoons, comics and merchandise. Hasbro is certainly okay with multiple genders for these robots. Who are you to say that they cannot be male or female? These are ALIEN ROBOTS, why do they have to conform to ANY of our expectations on what constitutes the defining characteristics and traits of one gender or another?

Beast Machines had a lot of problems, I'll grant you, but it's still miles ahead of Armada or Energon. Honestly, it's probably better than the G1 cartoon too, not that the G1 cartoon's that good.
It's in the average middle for me, with the four-episode Go-Bots cartoon, the Energon cartoon, the Cyber Missions web cartoon, and the two-episode Universe web cartoon all below it. G1's contemporaries in the middle are Victory and Armada. The Headmasters is directly above it, and everything else is further above them all.ZeroWolf wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:Starsaber468 wrote:You do knkw strika is from a BAD series

This. for me, the G1 cartoon is the bottom of the barrel in terms of quality.

Though, I refrain from placing the new RID cartoon since four episodes isn't enough to judge a 78-episode series.
I'm still making my way through comparing Car Robots and RiD 2001, so I haven't yet gotten to watch Micron Densetsu, Super Link, or Galaxy Force.NuclearConvoy wrote:Do you make any differentiation between the Japanese versions of the Unicron trilogy? Because, I for one find Galaxy Force incredibly different from Cybertron.

But I can imagine that I'd enjoy Micron Densetsu far more than Armad,a and Super Link only a little bit more than Energon (since a lot of Energon's problems came from Super Link). As for Cybertron v. Galaxy Force, I already enjoyed Cybertron, so even with Galaxy Force being quite different, I imagine that I'll find Galaxy Force to be just as good, but interesting for its own merits rather than how it weighs up against Cybertron.
After all, though Galaxy Force was made first, Cybertron attempted to put it back in its proper place as another sequel series. Galaxy Force would eventually join Cybertron as officially being another sequel, but without the changes Hasbro made for Cybertron, Galaxy Force would make less sense than Cybertron in that regard, even if some things in Cybertron already made less sense than Galaxy Force. This is what happens when GONZO decides to make what was intended to be another sequel into another reboot.
There is also the following that was seen in the original Galaxy Force version:NuclearConvoy wrote:Galaxy Force, in my opinion, stands up wonderfully as a solo, stand-alone series. I know that it was intended to be a sequel, but there is very little of that element in the initial run of the series. Like, unless I am mistaken (it has been years, but I have the subs burnt to DVD and I have been meaning to rewatch it) the only confirmation of Galaxy Force as a sequel to Micron Densetsu and Super Link came from print material, eh?

There is no telling what a fusion like that could do. Considering everything that has happened in the fiction over the last 30 years two biologically enhanced (or reformatted) Transformers could conceivably produce offspring with sparks
Very true, though I can't help thinking that the censors just didn't understand a word he was sayingNemesis Primal wrote:Arctorro wrote:I'm guessing no one has considered the possibilities from Beast Wars/Machines? Speaking of Beast Wars, Rattrap says a lot of things that seem to imply that Transformers have not only naughty bits, but uses for them. Don't ask how they got that past the censors, I'm honestly not sure.
