Well, something I do is push up the arm they're on until the rotors are snug between the tailfins, works pretty well

Just friction, unless the arm doesn't stay up when you do that, it should just rest on the clip that tabs the arm onto the vehicle mode

I'm not sure if this is what Hellscream was describing, but here is what I do in arm mode. I imagine it would work in leg mode too. It captures the ends of the props nicely.

I've tried this with my other CW choppers and I'm always concerned about stressing the plastic where the blade joins the rotor hub, even though I think it looks nicer this way compared to what I've been doing, which is adjust the flap the rotor hub is attached to to snug up the rotor blades against the figure's tail fins.

Yeah, that's what I used to do too, but I was also afraid of stress at the rotor hub. It seems that the fists hold the rotors in place better, placing less stress on the rotors. At least that is what I am seeing.
Now, all of my chopper bot arms are still nice and tight. If the arms are loose, I could see more of an issue of placing stress on the blades. For now, the arms just capture them from moving.
I do have Takara Bruticus on preorder. We'll see how the 4 blade setup works...
