I'm obsessed with the new Brainstorm figure that was revealed at Botcon. I think it looks fantastic and like it stepped off the pages of the comics. It got me thinking. Since the toy looks just like the comic and the toy is a Headmaster, is he a Headmaster in the comics?

I can see it happening. We know that there was were ancient Cybertronians called Headmasters, so the technology existed in the past. Then there is the Machination's version of Headmaster technology. Brainstorm is crazy enough to tinker with both types of tech and it's possible he experimented on himself and turned his head into a smaller robot and his body is now a Transtector like the Headmasters series.

A friend suggested that Brainstorm is now carrying his original head inside his briefcase.

I like that explanation!

That would work and explain why he keeps his briefcase with him at all times.



Wait, what if he wants to turn himself into a Headmaster, but the briefcase doesn't contain his original head, but the Headmaster unit? He would carry it around so nobody would find out and he could tinker on it all the time, could also explain how he managed to keep the Point Six Percenter Spark alive in there.
So he might use the Headmaster unit as an emergency body for the PSP Spark.

Oh man, this is opening up so many possibilities.

It would be so awesome if my theory was correct.

I was also thinking that strangely enough. Though my theory was that the original Brainstorm's head was in the briefcase and someoneelse in his driving seat so to speak. Not too sure on it now having read the snippet for #34.

Speaking of headmasters though has Highbrow made his IDW appearance yet?
