Hey everyone, im new to the boards and wanted to post a battle i think would be wild. The empire from star wars vs the covenant from halo. Both have vast armies and sizeable space fleets. What do you think?

Covenant.

Why? diversity. They have more than enough different units and vehicles that match or out-class the Empire's inventory.

Although seeing a Scarab against an AT-AT would be hilarious!

Here's the deciding factor: Does the Empire get Vader and/or the Death Star?

If they do, then it's easily the Empire. Hell, they could probably do well with just Vader. Not to mention, it is VERY likely that Palaptine knows Battle Meditation. (If you know what that is, you understand)

If they don't, then I have to give it to the Covenant. Despite the fact that Stormtroopers are virtually unlimited in supply, and the Empire's persistence, the Covies have an advantage, since they have better technology and weapons than the Empire.

I dunno, even with Vader and the Emperor, thats only 2 Sith to go up against ass loads of elites and brutes.

Even if the covenant didn't have the Elites on their side. I'd think the Empire would have an uphill battle on there hands.

Besides, could you imagine the havok a crapload of camo'd elites with the Arbiter could cause on the Deathstar?

im gonna say give the empire the sith and the death star. Im thinking the covenant would still come out on top. I cant imagine darth vadar lasting too long against some hunters and camo elites.

The empire because after vadar they get a small army of dark jedi so coninent Vs an army of dark jedi? hmmmm... dark jedi hands down.

But, it's not an army of Dark Jedi.

There are, from A New Hope, to Endor there are 2 Sith. If you go by whats in A Force Unleashed, that brings the count of Sith up to 3.

As awesome a jedi/sith's power. Thats still 3 sith along with vast amounts of Storm Troopers(not all of them being clones anymore) going up against the Covenant.

The difference between a sith and a jedi is how they use the force a jedi gains it through balance and inner peace where sith use it through their feelings. The sith arn't by default evil its just they currupt easier than jedi

Yes, but that wasn't really the empire. It was the remnants of the Empire. After Endor the empire was scattered and were fighting for control.

So when talking about the Empire, one traditionally thinks of when Vader and Palpatine were in power. Not a clone of the Emperor, or the different Moffs fighting for control when the Emperor died.

I don't belive that it mentions any where that Vadar's Emperor was the real one, who knows how many clones there are. plus the Empire has started to reform with the emperors clone in command and although the empire hasn't got the manpower it had i beleve it could still take on the coninent and at least give them a good kicking

I consider classic empire to be with vader and palpatine, not after the death star had blown.

The Covenant, only if they manage to fire off a halo. Of course, it would mean the end of the Covenant as well but I would still count it as a win.

I vote the Empire... They made more money for longer.

Whichever has the better tech can hack the other side's tech and win.

Otherwise, it's all about numbers and overall firepower. And Death Stars.

Is there a Force presence in the area? Are there Jedi and Sith?
