I don't know if this increases or decreases the likelihood of it being PM Optimus, but there already is an upgrade kit for God Ginrai. It was years ago, before all these 3rd parties started cranking all this stuff out, and sold through BigBadToystore and likely other outlets. It wasn't as good as current upgrades, as it included replacement arms that made for more dynamic posing but left him unable to transform out of robot mode without breaking out a screwdriver and slapping the old arms back on; the parts couldn't turn into anything else. It did indeed include bigger wings, and angled feet so his legs could be spread out.

Anyone remember what that was called?

We shouldn't post this as news (aka give them free advertising) without them actually showing product.

Maybe it's for MP Prime?

It was called overpriced garbage. I know the kit you're talking about.Yeah that was back in...2002 If I remember right.

Yeah I bought that overpriced piece of **** when it was expensive and then it went on sale shortly after. Actually... it looks kind of cool but he can't move or transform worth a damn. Made of soft plastic it was called Power Master Optimus Prime with Apex Armor Add on Parts. The new smaller anime style head was cool as well as the longer arms, guns, wings and shoulder cannon. Still I hope crazy devy makes it so that is has articulation and can transform from robot to truck and back! Oh Yeah!

It may be too costly to upgrade God Ginrai's arms and legs. My guess is a new head for MP Prime with light up eyes. That would be fine with me. I don't care much for the build-in moving mouth cover.

The only real upgrade I would like to see now is for MP-2, Magnus needs his trailer armor to make this figure a true master piece, I know this subject has been beaten to death but I can still hope can't I?

if it is powermaster optimus, i hope its new shiny smokestacks and a fully articulated Hi-Q powermaster. i actually need these to get my PM Prime looking fully restored to his former glory

If you need a Hi-Q and an Optimus/Ginrai cab I can help you out probably. I still have my Powermaster Prime from when I was a kid, the Super Ginrai head has a busted peg and the trailer attachment has a busted peg as well, but the Ginrai/Hi-Q and the truck are in good enough condition. I have the God Ginrai reissue so I don't need the original stuff anymore. Let me know if you need them & i'll see if I can dig them up.

Wow, I'm kinda glad I was never able to get that kit now.

I've been happy with what CD has put out so far; if this new set is for PM Prime, and IF it's decent, I'll get it too.

the offer is most appreciated, i have the cab but the pipes from his smokestacks broke off years ago. made new pipes out of sculpy but they arnt quite the same. the other parts that he was missing, like Hi-Q ive been gathering from ebay as of late, but if CD is getting something convienient together. i may go for that instead

I'll post pics so people can check it out in detail. It makes the figure a "for display only" piece. You can change the position of the arms (but they are detached) and I modified the head a little so it has some movement. Hopefully Crazy dev can base some of it's work off the looks of this one.

See... nothing's really attached. The piece is not transformable. It does have a little articulation but it's cheap material and not really well thought out. Hope Crazy Devy comes up with a better one than this.

Yeah that looks like a big pile of fail. the paint & sculpting on the arms look especially bad.

Yeeeeesh! Now I'm really glad I lost that auction; aome poor sap on eBay paid like 75 dollars for that a couple years back....

do they purposefully do the logos to look like they're made of neon signage? Perhaps they doing Galvatron parts?

Hmm... I kind of hoping for upgrade parts for a more modern toy, like Masterpiece Optimus, or that PCC idea would be sweet. The PCC limbs are kind of lacking. As PM, it seems likely given that they have been doing exclusively G1 toys, but a PM upgrade for Classics Prime would rule.
