This should go in General Discussion 
What you need to do is find a suitable image (please keep the dial-up and lower resolution folks in mind) and host it on a place like Photobucket or ImageShack. Then, copy of the URL of the image, go to the signature settings (Control Panel -> Profile -> Edit Signature) and use the [img] tags.
