Weapon: Corrosive Acid Bolt Gun
Man that looks like the missing pieces to make CW Devastator look closer to the MP line of TFs. I'll have to score a Devastator at some point but I'll definitely take a closer look at this kit once I do.

Hey powers that be, definitely "merge for the kill" and merge any other threads to this one just like the one for Metroplex Upgrades.

The newest upgrade for Devs looks interesting....

My last post in this thread was old news as it was already in a existing thread a more reason to have these threads merged.

I did however come across something else. Looks like X2 Toys is throwing it's hat into the Devs ring....

Any word regarding the Perfect Effect PC-06 and PC-07 kits? I'd really like to see these in color and how they look in alt mode.

I did get PC-07. Right now I'm only using the guns and the elbows for Scrapper and Long Haul. The only problem I see with the set so far is that Long Haul's lower arms are too loose at the elbow joint. I taped in a paper spacer between the elbow joint and the inside of his arm to add some friction to make them less floppy and more poseable.

I'm not sure I'll use the elbows for Mixmaster and Hook. The ones for Hook look pretty bad in alt mode. I don't have anything against the ones for Mixmaster, but I'm going to have to figure out a safe way to remove the current elbows/lower arms.

I do like the guns, they're pretty cool. My Constructicons are totally gunned-up between the combined form's pieces and these guns, especially Long Haul :CON:

I guess my thoughts on all the various Devastator upgrades are:

--Is it better to buy the Hasbro version and then get upgrades, or is it better to buy the Takara version which doesn't need them?
--The Takara version still has the pigeon-toed Mixmaster, right? I'd still probably want to upgrade that, so if I do, will the colors match?

At this point, I feel that the Hasbro Devy with the PC-07 kit is more cost-effective than Takara Devy while looking just as good, at least in the way I'm using it mentioned two posts ago. I like the beefier lower arms for Long Haul despite the partsforming I now need to do.

I approached PC-07 in this way: I was willing to pay an extra $20 for elbows on Hasbro's Scrapper and Long Haul. PC-07 gave me that option for $30, with the addition of guns for each figure and spare elbows for two other figures. I felt that was fair and I happily went for it.

Based on what I saw from the photos of Takara's Long Haul, I'm happy I went with Hasbro's Long Haul and got the elbows/lower arms from Perfect Effect. They look a lot beefier and I feel they fit the character's physique better.
