Which is a the better fig? I'm about to bid for one of them on ebay but am on a strict budget and can only afford to get one of the two. Which do people prefer - based on playability, pose-ability, features, alt mode look, robot mode look etc.

Downshift, Downshift, Downshift! The mold is ten times better. The Cannonball mold has an interesting transformation, but terrible pose-ability. Downshift has a nice satisfying transformation, better pose-ability, and cool guns. There's no comparison in my opinion, Downshift is far superior.

After you get Downshift, you'll want to track down the Big Daddy repaint!

If you're looking for just molds, Downshift is the better choice. But I admit I find Cannonball a better character. He's a pirate, how many of those do we have?

I have red alert and it is idealy a brick, but i has quite a unique transformation and i dig the ambulance.

You should get downshift,mainly because i think you have Red aleart.Also,if you ever have to pick between a new mold & a repaint,always get the new mold!

Cannonball is ballin. Plus Downshift is better as Big Daddy.

Downshift is among the best, period, of that line.

Cannonball, on the other hand, is one of the best non-show CHARACTERS in that line, with a hilariously AWESOME paint job. It's just not quite as articulated as the Wheeljack wannabe.

Seriously though, if you're more interested in the character, go Cannonball. If you're more interested in the mold, go Downshift, but I agree with most the people on here that Big Daddy's a much better choice if you can find him. The character's pretty okay, depending on how much you like micromasters, but the color scheme is really what makes it worth it.

I know it's hard to do, but waiting for the cash to build up so you can get both may sate your hunger for these figures. There is a Black Friday exclusive that has both of these guys packaged together. It came out a few years ago. Should be reasonably priced.
