Clench's shuttle

Silverstrike did not look nor show any sign that she had received Mindwipe's transmission. Instead her optics were fixed on the imposing form of Clench. Her gaze still upon him after the hypnotist took his leave. The silver female waited few astroseconds, unexpectedly her wings began to melt into the deadly mercury like substance that was bonded to every molecule in her body. She allowed the liquid flux to spread over her lithe torso and down her legs. She looked down with a surprised expression on her face and mumbled a set of verbal codes, theatrics for Clench and his crew. She then let out an exasperated sigh and looked back over to clench.

“Sir I have a malfunction with my flux matter controls. I need to reset, which is not safe to do around the crew.”

She stood, her supple body swirled like liquid silver clouds glimmering as she caught the lights of the cabin. Making sure not to touch anything with her now poisonous bimetal bonded wings.

“I’ll be just a few hundred astroseconds.”

She spoke as she made her way out of the cabin, casting one reassuring glance over her shoulder at their commander. The argent mistress of the blade walked quietly to the cargo hold her body still a molten swirl of silver liquid. Upon reaching the hold the silver angel solidified her “skin” and stepped carefully into the apparently empty hold. Her Glacier ice hued optics focused on the necromancer. She approached him at a precision step, her shining thrusters making a soft metallic clink as she moved. She stopped a few feet from him, bowing her head slightly.

“What is it you need to tell me, master?”

She treated him with the respect she had been schooled to show as one did when approaching their teacher. Mindwipe had taught her how to fight hand to hand melee and stay calm while doing so. She lifted her gaze looking straight into his notoriously dangerous eyes. Never had she feared his hypnotic powers, and she did not now. Her argent lithe form stood passively before him, where other transformers would feel uncomfortable in such close proximity, he and his brothers held a unique reputation for consuming their enemies, Silver felt quite elated in his presence.

The Longshot

Occupaying the commander's seat of the shuttle Clench kept himself linked into the shuttle's weapon and scanning systems while the old warbird was being piloted by Skullcruncher and Weirdwolf. If any threat to Megatron were to rise, the Longshot was ready to strike with deadly force. Yet Clench had to admit his focus was not fully on the task, despite its importance. He couldn't but wonder why Megatron was here. He could only speculate on the reasons but it was not common for the Decepticon Supreme Leader to go to inspect so recently conquered areas unless he had been leading the attack himself. It was unlikely it was a trust issue towards Scorponok. Something of extreme importance was clearly going to happen.

His speculation considering Megatron's plans took a halt with Mindwipe deciding to tell him he needed some privacy to meditate. Clench seemingly gave little regard to Mindwipe and later Silverstrike removing themselves from the presence of the others. He merely acknowledged Mindwipe's statement with a nod and Silverstrike's excuse he gave even less attention. Onboard the old gunship that Megatron had hijacked with the help of Frenzy and Rumble after a miner revolt where the Slag-Maker had killed for the first time - had little privacy to offer. Neither of the two had managed to be very convincing with their excuses either. It was clear the two wanted to have a private conversation. While he wanted to know more, he didn't judge such a meeting being threatening one.

It wouldn't take long before the two shuttles were going to reach Tagan Heights anyhow.

The Longshot - Cargo Hold

Mindwipe's processors refused to center themselves as he waited. His inner turmoil refused to leave him. In his mind, the hypnotist went over and over what he wished to say to his protegee like a missive that refused to be written.

Very shortly, the arrival of Silverstrike brought his ruminations to a close. Standing, he approached the lissome femme slowly. Placing his hand upon her chin, he raised her optics to meet his.

"Silverstrike," he drawled. "I cannot tell you how relieved I am that you are...well. Yes." The necromancer's outstretched hand trailed up the side of the Seeker's faceplate, resting on her cheek. "When Thunderwing attacked you, I..."

He trailed off, losing his resolve. He withdrew his hand from the femme's cheek. The shrikebat began anew a moment later, but he took a different tack than he had intended. "...I cannot stand the way that boar treats you! Your father is tyrant...yes!"

Visibly attempting to calm himself, Mindwipe took a step back. "What happened today...I never wish to see you hurt...like that, my Shining One. Not again." Both of them knew he was as much referring to that long-ago time when they had met, as he was to the days events.

"There is more," the mystic began tentatively. Something has changed. I must ask...At times I have noticed the way you look at me and turn away suddenly as if...afraid. yes. But that's not it, is it?"

He resisted the impulse to step closer to her again. Why? Why did he want to be near her like he did? It could be dangerous to be so near one such as her, both physically and emotionally. So why did it occupy his thoughts so?

It wasn't her comely design. Such superficial matters concerned the former priest very little. There was something else about her. Something about the way she present herself, the way she shared her thoughts, possibly her spark itself.
Perhaps it was the way she treated him. Was that was why he questioned her motives? Did she feel more towards him than the outward sign of respect she showed a mentor? Sometimes...she slipped, and until now, he had ignored such things.

But he could ignore them no longer. Nevertheless, now was not the time for such a conversation. Not here, in these gauche surroundings. And at any rate, they would soon be landing.

"My Dear, these...conditions are ill-suited to such important discourse. Yes. We shall soon be in the Tagan Heights. We must find the proper time to speak on such...matters, away from the prying eyes of our superiors. Yes."

The Longshot - Cargo Hold

She kept her composure before him. She could not tell him the truth. It would put all he had in jeopardy. He was too valuable, he served Scroponock directly and his abilities were unique to him alone. For her to distract him with how she felt was more harm than good. He meant too much to her. The silver angel could not let selfish wants blind her. It was quite sad really, she trusted him so deeply that she held no fear of his hypnotic powers for she knew in her spark he would never betray her even if he had control of her. She wanted to smile when he had placed his hand upon her face but had been careful not to.

His words caused a cold feeling to penetrate her inner circuits. He had noticed her small slips, and this very conversation told her he felt as she did. Or close to it. She needed to be more careful. Especially since he and Thunderwing did not see eye to eye. And she suspected Clench would notice. The mech was not immune to seeing such small details.

She turned to follow him back to the cabin.

“You need not worry Mindwipe, I have never feared you….. you…..are possible the only Transformer I trust unquestionably.”

How ironic those words were considering who she was speaking to. Master of manipulation, controller of minds drinker of life energon, killer of innocents. Yet in the sight of all that the argent female truly did trust him.
