Well, instead of replying about my enjoyment of the line's return, I say let's start a discussion about our appreciation of the little buggers!
To start, a few brief thoughts from me:
-Cyberverse is awesome because their small size and price point make for an easy and fun impulse buy.
-There is a very wide array of characters, several(like TFP Hardshell) never got larger versions. And sometimes the smaller versions are superior(Airrachnid from evidence I've seen, never got the larger version).
-They're roughly in scale with Spychangers. Good way to bulk up Autobot forces.
-Simple, quick, and usually satisfying transformations.

(Optimus cheats by being supported by tape, but Megs isn't!)

Cyberverse had a LOT of cool stuff the Mainline didn't have (or did poorly). Devastator, Abominus, the Dreads, Blackout with a Scorponok that turns into a gun, Megs and Optimus with their own trailer things...

I know Japan had an actual full sized voyager (or bigger) version, but yeah, if I lived in Japan that would have been great but I don't, and I'm not made of money to import and such.

What I love best is how cyberverse figures add play value to the large toys which would be out of scale with deluxes. You can stage epic battles like the one below:

I just wish I had started collecting them earlier, I used to hate them, now I love 'em. I've only a handful of Japan xclusive. I prefer to find them in a store. That's the fun part.
I sometimes need to paint my own just to have a new one

"Who would you be without me, Prime?"

"Time to find out."

"You didn't betray me, you betrayed yourself."

I'm actually not really fond of this scene in the movie, but it sure was fun recreating it!

Also, someday I should get that Starscream with transforming aircraft carrier set. Why? Cause it reminds me of one of my favorite Transformers, Micromaster Flathead!
And I do have Sentinal, and I don't want the voyager version. The reason is the voyager lacks the awesome and iconic sword and shield. I'm aware the leader version has it but I don't collect leaders that often.
And who thinks they should make the other four Vehicons repaints in Cyberverse? Tankor needs friends!

Also, one of my rule is that scouts figures like planes, trucks, and tanks, are welcome as well because they are in scale with the smaller figures. I really wish they come back.

One of these days I ought to get green Brawl

Man, RiD is going to kinda suck if it only has the one size-class for Cyberverse (and the worse one at that)

I have another Legends Megatron, but time hasn't been kind to it...

I love Cyberverse stuff, and what really sold me on these for DotM were the clips that allow for bases to be put together like back in the day with Micromaster bases. I have multiples of just about every DotM base set because of it, and I think that included like 3 of the Starscream bases and 4 or 5 of the Bumblebee one.
The Prime stuff had the same clips, but it didn't work as well since everything was vehicles. It is possible to get a somewhat decent base mode out of say, Optimus Maximus or the drillers, but things like the Skyclaw don't really work. Was also hoping Generations Metroplex would have these connecting points - there would have been some very easy and non-intrusive spots to put them, but alas, no luck.
I'm hoping they bring this back, but it's probably another abandoned gimmick like the c-clip weapons used in 2010 :/

Yep, though it's kinda weird going back to the older Legends now. Just look at Bonecrusher compared to the updated Starscream and Blackout. They've come a loooong way.

AoE would be the tiny one, with 2 Cons against the Autobot team and ALL the Dinobots.
I could live with filler. I've always been a fan of "expanded universe" figures to flesh out the ranks. And even bringing in recolors of older legion Decepticons would have helped. When I said tiny amount of 'Cons, I meant in comparison to the army of Autobots they released in the same line. It was disproportionate, especially counting the number of "expanded universe" molds the Autobots got to absolutely none for the 'Cons. I didn't start collecting the tiny class molds until the DOTM Cyberverse line otherwise I'd have a lot of 'Cons from the previous movie releases to make up for it.

Ok, not necro-bumping, cause I have something to discuss: new R.I.D. legends! I just picked up Strongarm and Steeljaw(wasn't interested in Prime or Bee). And right off, they're smaller.
Let's start with Strongarm. She's not that much smaller in vehicle mode, and doesn't look too out of place. The width is about the same, length is a smidge shorter, height varies between vehicle to vehicle.
Robot mode, she's about a head shorter than most figures(though taller than the Breakdown/Fallback mold). This could work for the character though, because(please don't flame me) females are generally a tad smaller than males. And she is about half a head smaller than Arcee/Flamewar, and a full head shorter than Airachnid, and a head and a half shorter than Shadow Striker?(the Target exclusive red and black Wheelie repaint). But she's pretty wide as well, and with her name being Strongarm she's probably similar to G1 Brawn.
Oh, for articulation, she's pretty good. Due to transformation she has knees and elbows, and shoulders and hips are ball jointed. And I really like the battle mask face, something most Legion's seem to be sporting. Overall, not bad.
Now for Steeljaw. Vehicle mode, he's about as wide as most others, varies in height, but length just feels shorter, even though it's about the same as Strongarm's. It's probably due to the large spoiler and tailfins bridging the length.
Now for robot mode, Steeljaw, up to his head, is short! Shorter than a Spychanger even! I guess this could be due to the character, as he is pretty wide, but man. Yes, his spoiler technically does raise his height to a more respectable level, but there is no Legion class figure he can look in the eye, or even come up to their chin.
But is he bad? No, but not as good as Strongarm. Articulation is par, ball jointed hips and shoulders, and while there are knees, the design is a bit bulky and the range is limited. He does have a very nifty tail though...that gets in the way of leg movement. The sculpt and paintwork is good though(likewise for Strongarm).
Oh, and something I find odd: On both figures, their wheels are pinned through on the front tires, but not the back, and though the front and back tires are different sizes on each, it gives a weird look. Kinda like the front has a faux hubcap but not the back.
So overall, I do like the figures, but I'm wondering if Prime and Bee also share the height issues. And for what it's worth, they were $7.99 (Toys R' Us, who generally are higher), so I'm not sure if it means these guys are going to be more expensive or not when they hit Target and Wal-Mart.

So my eyes weren't deceiving me?
It is possible the decrease in size could be limited to just Strongarm and Steeljaw. This pic(which I should have consulted earlier, ah well in hand compare and contrast is more fun) shows that Prime and Bee are about a head taller than Strongarm, which would put them more at about the same height as your average legion. They are as wide as ever.

Steeljaw still feels like a dwarf though.
