What, you mean like cartoon accuracy?

What I mean is that the toy looks almost like a quick sketch on paper. It looks like a giant Jizai toy. There are ways to take the best aspects of cartoon accuracy and give them better proportions. Hasbro always seems to pull it off. These guys didn't. If you consider this to be MP Skyfire, then you might as well call X-Transbots Glider MP Powerglide.

And why do I have to do any such thing? If someone is satisfied with the cartoon accuracy of this, then that's up to them. If you are not, that's fine too.
Personally, I'd like to see a fully painted test shot before commenting on a lack of detail.
My point is this: hasn't it been argued that the MP line is attractive to some who collect it because of the cartoon accuracy? Wouldn't that be a plus for this figure based on that argument?

There's Jizai style cartoon accuracy and there's Takara style cartoon accuracy. This figure's aesthetic looks like a 3-D render of the cartoon image. Takara's MP aesthetic takes the cartoon image and gives it human like body proportions. Takara figures don't have that boxy hand drawn look like this figure has. They failed to capture the Takara aesthetic that really brings the cartoon image to life. And being so big makes it stick out like a sore thumb. I'm not sure if you get what Im trying to say, but that's how I feel about it.

I can see what you are trying to say there, and I don't completely disagree. I'm just waiting for some painted samples before I jump to that conclusion. I think, so far, that this holds to the toon look very well.
I do disagree with " Takara's MP aesthetic takes the cartoon image and gives it human like body proportions." I've always felt that the MP line was very close to the cartoon in overall look. The only real difference I see between Kronos and the MP line, at this time, is in the details. And since all we've seen are renders and prototypes/test shots, I'm not ready to make up my mind on this.
(Kinda funny how the roles are reversed on this figure versus Galvatron in that other thread, eh?)
Tsutsukakushi wrote:I honestly don't need this Kronos. As I'm happy with the 1.0 Voyager Jetfire. With the leaked info promising a 2014 30th Leader sized Jetfire,I'd rather get this one instead.

I agree with you here. I like the Voyager mold and am curious what the leader will be this year. However, the more I've seen this, the more I like it. Price seems to be the biggest tipping point for me at this time.

I was under the impression that 30th Anniversary Jetfire was just a redeco of Leader Class ROTF Jetfire.

Ignore those two, they often come out with idiotic, and frankly rude, comments (which is why I've got them both on my ignore list). I bet you can do a better job with all the talk you do , I want to see what you can come up with , ill wait for your design , you can use milk catons too as per your comment

Im not a designer, Im the consumer. In other words, Im someone you got to impress if you want my cash. This design doesnt impress me. If you are actually are the designer, I think you should revisit some of the proportions. Give it a little bit more of a Takara style look.

I agree with RatedX. Honest comments helps the companies improve on these toys. Should I have lied? is this what you want, everyone to say they like the toy, even though they don't. I would think a 3rd party company creating stuff for the fans would welcome good & bad comments. Bad comments serve a purpose,as they help the company to improve on everything.

Man, I really hope that's not the attitude you'd take when responding to criticisms on possible QC issues when the figure's out. Better make sure the product is perfect when it's out![]()
I understand the passion you have for your own project, but remember that everyone here is a potential customer (RatedX included, no matter how he acts), and your posts here is all we have to judge for ourselves whether or not we're making a reasonable purchase. Getting all defensive and pulling the "Can you do better?" card is only going to hurt both sides in the long run; You don't see restaurant owners asking their customers "Can you cook better?" when they got told that their food sucks now, do you?![]()
You'll end up losing potential buyers who're vary about buying from a confrontational seller, and the community loses a new 3P who still have room to grow and improve. And we know how much stuffs can improve in a few years time, just look at FansProject.
Wouldn't it be better to take all criticisms, good or bad, into a notebook and put them into consideration on your future projects? Just my two cents![]()
But seriously? 0 Profit? Not even juuuuuuust a little?
Rated X wrote:This dude is too touchy. He doesn’t seem to handle constructive criticism very well. The worst thing that could happen is nobody bothers to critique his project and it flops. He comes to the boards to get peoples honest opinion. Then he slams the same people for being honest. And then he throws in the “0 profit” card to get sympathy. I’m gonna leave this thread alone. Maybe his product will flop. Maybe it will be a great seller and I will eat my words. Only time will tell. I don’t even collect MP scale, so any input I gave was for the better of the final product no matter how harsh it seems.
