Lol! If that is the case there will be more awesomeness to go around for all of us . I will likely get one or both these 3rd party options, but will purchase Hasbro's as well to show my support for decisions like this (assuming its a go)

factory just finish with the prototype and will send it on monday i should have it on friday, here you have some early pictures , ill post more when i recieve it

i tried to be as close as possible to the cartoon , i didnt want to give him a modern look , since that was titan is a

Update - 20131129:

I'm hoping it's just the images of this guy in the test shot/prototype gray colors, but this isn't looking as good as the previous images (currently being used to promote the product on BBTS):




Here's hoping that once I see it in color, it looks better. Something is way off about the torso going into the thighs/legs and I think the front of the jet mode needs to be wider, assuming it and the torso could be re-engineered to accommodate that. Maybe I'm full of crap and they're both the same, but it seems there have been some changes.

Oh well, I guess I have until January to decide whether or not to keep my preorder. I'm still giving this project a chance...for now, just because I really want a Jetfire that looks like the show in jet mode.

there has been no changes to the render , the only actuall change was the doble joint on the elbow thats about it

I notice the feet in the render are definitely different from the prototype, although that itself is not a bad thing (they look more like feet on the prototype and now have articulation).

If they sell these for $100 a pop, I might have run out of excuses to pass. I would likely take one of each.

He said it's in the works but nothing has come of it as of yet. all this came from yesterday or 2 days ago? I don't usually advertising visiting other fan sites cause but it is truly a good (very long) read. If You have time I would say. for all the money and time we spend on this hobby its good to know some insider quotes on the cost of figures.

never stated thatt. I will be selling it , the only thing I said is that me and another third party company are working on something to lower the prices for all products that we carry. , and its still in the works. , please do not post things like this before you comfirm it

apologies if that is the case. I've just read the whole 15 pages and must have gotten information mixed up. thanks for the clarification. Just wanted to let people here know your intentions on working on lowering prices which should be spread in my opinion.

If it helps at all, I don't usually make up my mind until I see a price that is firm somewhere. But I'd also like to express my support for some price points.

(I typically stay away from TFW2005 because it seems like I spend more time scrolling past signatures than reading actual content. When I have some time I'll read through the entire thread. But indeed, I am happy to see any and all information relating to these sorts of topics. Thanks for giving whatever info you can, ARAFAT209! )

When you compare him to the cartoon, the figure is just too boxy. It's supposed to be the other way around. Plus he is too damn big anyways for my tastes.

I somewhat agree, but I still want to give it a chance and see it with the final paint job before I decide. I suspect that in full color it may help with the overall look and make some of the boxiness more subtle.

Well, it's not like the cartoon version of Skyfire is boxy...

I agree, this looks very good in comparison to the cartoon model.

I would like to see a good close up painted photo of the face sculpt though. So far we haven't gotten one.

I have to admit, it does look like the animation model. However, being slavish to G1 animation is not always the best idea. His proportions, much like that of the cartoon, look rather silly and unrealistic.

However, I will wait to see the finished product before making a final judgment. I realize it's a work in progress and can't judge it too harshly.

It might end up surprising me in the end.

I think the comparison shots to the show really do help sell this figure, but looking at it next to the other MPs it does not have as much detail as they do.

I really WANT to like this, but it falls short every time I look at it.

I'm really undecided about this. Waiting for colour pics.

He is supposed to fit with the Masterpiece line, which is why he looks like that

They are doing another one that, I believe, is less "slavish to G1". Can't remember what it looks like though.
