Thanks to Wal-Mart Canada we have a bit of interesting news regarding the upcoming Kre-O Transformers Beast Hunters sets. Unlike the previous sets these Kreons seem to have names, and names we recognize to boot. The Beast Blade Optimus Prime set comes with Energon Kicker and the Ripclaw Strike comes with Daniel Witwicky! See the product descriptions below.

It's cool that they're finally adding some actual human characters to Kre-O as opposed to generics, but WHY these two? It's like they intentionally went with the worst ones they could find.

Incidentally, is this Kre-O's first Unicron Trilogy homage?

Kicker looks to be a fairly close representation of the Energon character, though Daniel appears to be a generic soldier with a name slap.
