Not really. Since the formula (making it a mathematical equation is so inane, but, hey, we're talking comic books) is supposed to make people realize exactly that, it's a mute point. Unless Darkseid doesn't realize that, in which case he's a fool.
The proposition that realizing life is pointless will suddenly deprive someone of their free will is pointless as well-- no one has free will, and we all do fine without it.
