If you look closely during the combining scene, Hightower (in arm form) "picks up" a little drone, which becomes his hand. The Supreme Devastator toy takes the cheap way out and has the shovel fingers fold out from the bottom.

I've seen lots of swapping of the legs, but I'm pretty sure Longhaul is the right leg.

The face is red in the movie, but grey on the toys and a lot of concept art. I've heard talk that Overload is actually supposed to be the head but even after rewatching the combining scene, I can spot no evidence of this.

Mixmaster is deffinatly the face of Devastator. I noticed that the movie version using the cab of the cement mixer as the face, but all the toys use the cement drum as the face. So where does all that red come from. When the face is just being formed its pretty much all silver/grey, but in the next scene (when Devi's head is laying on the ground) it's covered in red paneling. I guess it could be possible that pieces of Scavenger or Overload could have shifted all the way up there... :?

Either way, I really like the red face, looks much more uniform.

Thats what i'm thinking, because if you look cloesly at his mouth as he is getting ready to start the vortex. you can actually see a shovel type form opening up.

Yeah there are definitely shovels from someone under his chin somewhere, when he starts sucking dirt. I think the REAL reason is just for a better look, one of those things Bay just said (like put flames on Optimus).

I would like to see an animation of JUST the 3d models combining, not a live action scene, no shaky cameras, just so you can see how it happens. Because in the movie it shows Leo and Simmons too much. I'm also curious as to if the actual 3d models can be animated to transform into robot mode, or if they had to make different models for that.

I would say that shovel comes from Scavenger.

As of yet, are there any pictures of Devastator's back? I've been thinking of reducing the quality, and shrinking the size, to use as a secondlife avatar. But, I sorta need to see how complex it is from all angles so I know what to keep and what to toss. (The sheer number of prims to do the whole thing would probably crash more than just a sim...). If it truly is impossible, I'll probably just make a Mixmaster avatar. :/ or Overload. Kinda cool concept image of O.L. there... Hate cyclops-icons, but, hey, three or four eyes rocks.
What's the point of these silly signature things?

Lets just retcon those, retcon those on the dvd release, and fix everything that went wrong with the movie, by adding some extra scenes, and editting the existing ones.

Please please do it.
