I got into G1 toys recently, and those open cockpits and random seats have me really itching to find a pilot figure and play with them the way they were originally meant. Of course, vintage pilot figures are rare and cost a fortune, so I was wondering if anyone found cheaper replacements/equivalents to recreate the experience.

Star War Action Fleet!! Some of them have wonky arms and won't fit, but I imagine most pilots will. And yes, the cockpits do close, however it's hard to take a pic that will show up that way.

I was playing around with my G1 Whirl recently (mainly to compare to the Gen version) and found my old Diakron pilot in there! I thought he was lost forever!

His magnet feet are long gone, unfortunately...

After looking all throughout flee markets and thrift stores, I finally found a decent figure that fits in the Diaclone seats. I have no clue who this figure is, but it works so well.

I am honestly shocked I know that. I never had her, and it's been a long time since I read their story in the Mos Eisly Cantina Book.

And does Thrust's cockpit close? That's the mold I had trouble working with Action
Fleet figures. It doesn't have a lot of wiggle room.
