Different coloured names

I've noticed that the mods have different coloured names. Before it was red. Now I see green, dark green, purple, orange, and probably a few colours I didn't know they'd invented yet.
What do all the colours mean? And does my ignorance mean I'm a forum moron? A forom?

I dont know which colors are which, but I believe they represent Forum Mods, Site Mods, News Crew, HMW Mods, and probably another category or two. Oh, and last I noticed, Seibs had a color all to himself.

It's not ignorance.. its curiousity..

dark red = admins
light red = news admins
green = site moderators
purple = HMW moderators
orange = news moderators
dark green = VSD moderator

That's a shade of purple!
and they're set against a black background which is easier on the eyes then the bright colors of the forum background

Sorry but the colors stay.
There has been too much confusion as to who the appropriate moderators are due to the color palette not being set up correctly.
It is correct now and will stay that way.
