Absolutely. Imma watch it right now.

Now, that would be an interesting list: the Top 10 most iconic moments in the Transformers history. That death scene would easily be top 3, and probably number 1. The tongue-in-cheek entry would be the end of "THe Low Road"..."Oh no...not THAT...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" (insert planetshaking Energon...ummm...'discharge' here)

I mentioned in the last post before you put this up that Hasbro ran a poll in the weeks going into Botcon 2010 where fans voted for who got the fifth spot in the HOF, and because Dinobot won that poll, he got the fans' choice induction into the HOF. Sounds fair, yes?

A very deserving inductee indeed. There were some strong contenders this year. Soundwave, Jazz, Grimlock, and I forget the last nominee, Shockwave maybe. All could be front runners for induction next year.

This is a flawless choice. I'm very pleased Dinobot won. I voted for him without a second thought. He is by far one of the most amazing, interesting and dynamic Transformers characters ever created.

yes, i get that.

but what makes him a greater character in the history of our worlds than Optimus Primal, for example.

a true hero in every sense.

a am a beatwarsmachine super freak and can NOT understand that of all beast characters to represent the beast era...

but not as great, heroic or as monumental to the genre as Optimus Primal!

I dunno. He just was. I'm not arguing with the popular vote. Not much sense in it when there's as many reasons why as people that voted for Dinobot.

Do any of you believe that Dinobot won because the G1 vote was divided among Soundwave, Jazz, Grimlock, and Shockwave?

I voted for Dinobot because I knew that this would be the best chance to get him in. Because I knew that if he wasn't voted in this year he probably wouldn't get nominated next year.

Dinobot won because he is the best hero character from the Beast era, He was one of the Predacons but fought alongside his sworn enemy the Maximals due to Megatron's lack of honour. Plus even people that aren't TF fans acknowledge that Dinobot's death had the biggest impact on the Franchise.
Dinobot deserved this honour before any of the Beast era, and next will be BW Megatron.

Nah... In Optimal Optimus form, he was cool, but else, he was just like the other Optimuses.

Now Inferno, Rampage or Waspinator: they were cool... On second thought, every predacon was (except Scorponok and Terrorsaur, but they were fired early)

Still, from the BW cast, Dinobot and Deapth Charge were the most epic characters.

Nah, Dinobot won because of Willis and the Wiki advocating for him. I heard mention that someone discovered how to delete the cookie that claimed your vote for the day and that some ballet stuffing went on, but that's unconfirmed and I don't really have a problem with it anyway.

I personally think Soundwave should have been there... If I go around town and ask every random person I meet "Whats the first transformer that comes to mind" Your most likly to get one of three answers: Optimus Prime, Megatron, or Soundwave.
People who don't even like transformers remember the one that turns into a walkman.

Folks let's face it... the powers that be wanted a representative of a series other than Gen One. It validates all the other non Gen One work Hasbro did. To not recognize another series would be like admitting that they blew their load twenty five years ago and still haven't recovered from the 1986 movie. (They haven't.)

Interesting, kinda makes sense since Willis does like Dinobot, buying every toy and variation thereof.
