This Dinobot combiner,judging by the superior art talent is leagues beyond the talent of the Marvel USA & UK TF comics. so it can't be from any Marvel TF comics.

I'd safely guess this dinobot art or comic is from a talented TF fan who does some non-official TF comics or art.

I don't think it's from fun pub TFCC club comics. Because I was a TFCC club member for 3 years,never saw this. and the TFCC club writters & artist lack the imagination to create something this awesome like this dinobots combiner.

It's semi official. I believe The Beast Within was a DVD pack in comic several years ago. Can't remember which release it was with though. It's archived online somewhere although I don't have a link and can't say whether that was from fan scans (more likely) or a within copyright source. Terrible little story in any case.

I am totally all for a classics swoop.
or a masterpiece, for that matter.

DUDE!!! DROOL AT BEAST!!!! How friggin awesome is that thing? Not to keen on the art style as I prefer a more adultish style of art over the childish style but the idea of the dino big bot and the look of the thing is wicked!!!
So just how strong was that thing? Ill bet his tech specks would be maxed out through the roof with no weakness other than the obvious lack of intelligence.

I cant believe they didnt have the dinos form a big bot in the original toon. I thought for sure that was why they had five of em. I remember when they added swoop and sludge I was positive they were going to be able to form a big bot to whoop up on devastator. Didnt happen ofcourse.

On another note, I cant believe there are so many haters of the classics grimlock. I love the figure! Granted he is reimagined, but he retains enough of his classics feel to get the job done while incorperating some cool new features.
The only rant I have on the figure in that he could have been a bit larger. I hope the negative response to grimlock isnt whats holding them back from making the other four.

A comic that got released with 3RD Party TF toys like make the 5 Wall smallest transformers Dinobots? I don't recall this comic being released with any official Hasbro USA TF toy.

Well, I'm not too big on that combined form, but the idea of combining Dinobots ain't bad. But if Swoop is smaller than the rest then I don't know how well he makes an arm...

If Hasbro ever decides Beast is worth anything more then this 'comic' it was in, I will sell my TF's and not think twice about it. It's a hellish turd and should never be mentioned again.

I did say on the last page that it was a DVD pack in. According to TFwiki it was one of the UK Metrodome releases, but I'm not sure which set is was with. I've got season 1, season 2 parts 1 and 2 and season 3/4 sets from Metrodome and it wasn't put in with any of those (or at least the versions I've got). Not sure if they ever put out a complete G1 set but that would have been the obvious contender to have this packed in.

Not sure what's happening with the Impossible Dinobots but Paul Grant has brought us pictures of the MP scaled (believed to be combining) prototypes of Grimlock and Swoop from TFC.

I'm certainly no expert on the subject of mold making, so I'm only repeating what has been said before, but Hasbro said at one of their Botcon panels that to reverse engineer a mold and get the exact same detail on the figure is nearly impossible to do for a good expence/profit ratio. Something about it being cheaper to make a mold/design from scratch. It would explain then why some of the Reverse Engineered molds seen on KO toys lack certain details such as fine facial detailings.[/quote]

Another YES for new molds generations deluxe sized dinobots.

Although I must admit,I don't really need new molds dinobots. as previous TF toy lines already gave me my dinobots like as follows: Universe Walmart dinobots using the bwneo dinobots deluxe molds,classics 1.0 deluxe grimlock & animated deluxe sized swoop.

Personally i'd rather hasbro/takara focused on giving us TF toys that never got any opdated homage new molds before like as follows: masterforce overlord leader sized,G-1 Tripple changer blitzwing,springer,broadside,tm2 megatron ultra sized.

Yeah I realize blitzwing got a new mold in the animated toy line. but lets be honest that was so pure awful,a abonimation & a waste of plastic,it should not count as anything much less a updated homage.

Wait wait wait. Im confused. Is it the beast bot itself that you dislike, or the IDEA of the dinos combining to make one big unstopable bot altogether?
I have always wanted the dinos to make one big bot and I kind of like the idea of the bot being so full of rage and so unintelligent that auto bots had to use it as a last resort and know full well that they had a 50 50 shot at being attacked along with the cons.
Now I will admit that I am no fan of the style of art in which the bot was drawn, but tone it down a bit, lessen the dramatically overdone features, maybe loose the mouth in favor of a grimlock, optimus "plate" thingie and I think we have a winner in terms of how it should look.

Just saw on the TF panel from NYCC that the Dinobots (more than just Grimlock) are going to be in the new Fall of Cybertron game, so maybe that will inspire some "Cybertronian" Fall of Cybertron toys for them (God I hope Has/Tak do more than 3 or 4 figures for this game unlike the first game, which is likely given how popular the figures/game proved to be), which will (really hoping here) in turn persuade them to make new Generations/RTS versions of all the Dinobots (of course, having a WFC figure didn't help poor Soundwave make it into Classics/RTS ).

If fall for cybertron grimlocks gets a toy,I prefer it be voyager or ultra sized. I want leader sized but that's so un-realistic wishing/dreaming. I know I don't want deluxe size as that would be too deja-vu & booring as we got a deluxe grimlock in the classics 1.0 toy line already.

Sludge seems the hardest dinobot to release as a new updated toy. because scientist say brontosauras don't exist & the bones were originally assembled wrong to create a wrong dinosaur design species.

I can see Grimlock,snarl,swoop & slaq get new updated toys in 2012-2013 but maybe not in the same singular toy line. Fall of cybertron might give us a voyager sized grimlock & deluxe slag. while TF Prime gives us swoop. while generations gives us snarl.

Agreed, but if FOC is anything like WFC, we'll only see Deluxe class .

Yep, but they can do him as a Brachiosaurus, which is basically what a Brontosaurus was anyway, just with the head of a Stegosaurus I believe.

I'm hoping all of them go into Generations/RTS (or whatever they decide to call that line next), including a new Grimlock (I have Henkei, but it's lacking in my opinion, though it does look somewhat nice). They may end up doing all of them in Prime, especially if Prime is actually supposed to be within the same continuity as WFC/FOC.

Still Apatosaurus could work. Same body, right head. It wouldn't look different. Did the animated ones sell well? I cant remember...
