I was wondering if there's any news on anyone making a display stand for Unicron in planet mode? I did a search and found two, both seem to be out of production:

Brownnoize Productions' "Throne of Chaos"


I would prefer one that is similar to Brownnoize Productions' "Throne of Chaos" since it look a lot more sturdier than the Unicron.com's stand.

The Throne of Chaos one isn't out of production. He just makes batches and they sell out and he makes more. He has done multiple runs of the stand. I guarantee you now that the new Unicron just came out he will get more made. I have one and it is an excellent stand.

Get this: I'm stuck in Oakland until NEXT weekend!! And, of course, this is brilliant timing with the 2011 Amazon-exclusive Unicron having JUST come out...and me getting floods of orders for stands. Well, for those interested, I ain't getting back to the world until September 5th...so I'll reply to any inquiries then.

That I don't know but I had no problems ordering from this guy.

Easy there, LOST. While I admit that some of the stands had their flaws, it was the first one ever produced by the bros and, at the time, there was no other option. Plus, the Throne of Chaos is no more a marvel of engineering than this stand. The Unicron.com stand was made back in 2002 CAD-drawn and from-scratch built, custom injection molded polycarbonate parts. The Throne of Chaos, however, was made this year with less-sophisticated technology.

Not EVERY single one of the Unicron.com stands broke or were unable to hold the toy. There have been several cases of this stand working without fail. Even Takara has used it to display the Unicron toy a few times. Why, Ryan's stand seems to also work fine:

It has been recommended that the stand pieces be glued down together for the best results if necessary. But its successes prove that it is far from being an utter piece of crud.

Wow, you almost sound like you have stock in Unicron.com there Sabrblade . I was just going by every single review I've seen of the stand and they all said pretty much the same thing. As for the successful examples of the stand, well...even a broken clock is right twice a day!

The Throne of Chaos may not be superior technology wise but it has recieved much better reviews. However since it's no longer available our points are pretty moot anyhow. Didn't mean to offend if the makers of Unicron.com stand are friends of yours.

No worries, dude. We've noticed some dissatisfaction with it by some people, but the words of the pleased are also evident (one just has to find them ). Though, we do know that there is room for improvement, but it's best that I not go further into this.
