Sure, it's nerdy. So be it-I love what I grew up with. I lop it in the same category as models or scale cars or trains though.
I guess that just means there's more to me than meets the eye.

It is funny how many times I have gone through the check-out line at Target or Toys R Us and the cashier has asked me if I'd like a gift receipt. When I tell them no, I get one of those looks that seems to imply, "Oh, you're one of Those dudes."
interesting. as a married man I find that women find the collection a positive, they seem to compare my relatively inexpensive collection as preferable to that which their car collecting/big TV collecting significant other might have, also the fact that toy collecting is less of a 'show the world' collection unlike say a man whos collection is partly about how he is presented to the world might infer that somehow im not going to be cruising around the city chasing new prey! what i am trying to say? basically TF collecting puts me firmly in the rail enthusiast in the attic mentality but at least im at home!.

Unfortunately for my spouse, I fall into the car and TV category too. What can I say... I likes the toys.

Absolutely.
Everything I do falls into one of three categories: Nerdy, Retarded, or sleeping & eating.
Except for my fiance'. That's a case of even the loser getting lucky sometime.

I'm a total geek/nerd/dork. I collect comics, Transformers, play video games and talk to fellow geeks on message boards most of the day.
I also have a hot wife, two great kids, I run and lift weights and own my own home. Being a geek is great!

^Seriously? Wow.
That's kind of what I feel about it. On the geek scale I'm probably a 7/10, and proud of it.

Collecting tfs is the coolest thing on the planet and if you do not collect them you are automatically in Al Queada.

Wait, make me a LVL 27 Blue Geek.
1 LVL 10 scout gets you 106 EXP, 1 Deluxe is 194 EXP, Voyager 257 EXP, Ultra 362 EXP, Leader 547 EXP. Each purchase also earns 1 AP per figure, which you can use towards learning abilities such as figure knowledge, transforming skill, and spotting good finds.

Hey trainsets are for nerds!!but seriously folks... Is this really that popular of a subject!!
"Trainsets" are for nerds.....but.....if you're also refering to scale railroad modelers, YOU'RE ARE DEAD WRONG! Those guys are so skillful (some of them are) and execute spectacular works of art replicating scenes fromreality. Way more involved than any 'custom TF' toy you've ever seen.
BTW --when the hell did 5'10" become 'short'? Thats f*cking rediculous.

Are you implying that one can't be skillful and nerdy? They very often go hand in hand.

Average height of Dutch man: 6'1.
Average height of Japanese man: 5'7.
Average height of American man: 5'9 or 5'10.
If you're 5'10 in the states, you are pretty much average, a shrimp in Holland, and pretty tall in Japan. You are an absolute giant in Mexico. I'm a 5'5 tall woman, and I tower over some of those poor folks!

I call myself nerdy only because I don't care for cliques. I hang out with whoever. Even before I got back into TF's, everybody knew I was into Gundam.
