Chihuahuas are a lot like Pirahnas. By themselves, they are relatively harmless. Get a pack together, and watch your ankles get skeletonized in minutes... Or at least watch your socks get shredded.

I'm not a fan of large dogs. Protection is one thing, but any animal I couldn't handle if it got out of control is a no-go.

Dude i miss my dog. He was yorkshire Terrier. We had to put him down because he had bone cancer and arthritis. Such a good dog three days before my dad took him to the vet to be put down he was going to bathroom outside and he could barely move or walk and they neighbours vicious sheppard was 4 feet away from him and. The little bugger with no strength barked like hell and tried to block it from me. I screamed like a psycho for the sheppard to run go away and for some reason he ran off. If i didnt by chance came out outside he would have got torn to pieces.

Do I like dogs?

Let me put it this way. If a puppy and a baby were both trapped in a burning building, and I only had time to save one of them, I would pick the puppy every single time unless I knew the parents/guardian of the baby.

I don't care for many people myself, but in such a situation, grab BOTH....the puppy under one arm and the baby under the other....You'd get a medal from the city and from the HSUSA!

The best thing about the puppy though, when it grows up, it won't get hooked on drugs and pawn the car for a twenty-dollar pebble! :lol:

Oh, don't get me wrong, if they were in the same vicinity I would certainly rescue both. But that baby better get to praying they ain't on opposite ends of the building. :twisted:

That's true - I don't consider anything that my cat could consider as prey a dog. I don't say anything that a cat can beat up because I once saw my late cat Murphy stand up to a Doberman once - and the Dobie backed off!

I must agree w/ Marlboro man: The bigger the dog the better. Those poor excuses like the chihuahua aren't dogs. To me a dog is the Alaskan Husky or Malamute. Those are gorgeous dogs. Unfortunately I don't own a dog and don't think I ever will unless I can afford to buy a house. I won't have a dog when I'm stuck renting.
So what do I do? I pick up a stray cat one day bring him home. And to be frankly honest I love my cat. I grew up w/ both dogs and cats in the house and its frankly not the same w/out a dog. So until I can get steady work to pay for a house I'll just bide my time w/ one cat.
