Alright, so there's all this speculation as to what the next masterpieces could be. Here are a few ideas I've had.

V2 Megatron- CYBERTRONIAN MODE! We never saw what his cybertronian mode was, therefore this would free Has/Tak to design a mode that would not only me marketable everywhere, but allow the figure to look exactly like he did in the G1 cartoon. Make him a tank, a flying cannon... whatever, just as long as his bot mode looks like the Megs we all knew and loved from G1

G1 Arcee. Every collector and their brother would be all over this!

G1 quitessons. no transformation to engineer, but it could be loaded with gimmicks!

G1 Galvatron. His alt mode was never truly focused on so much, so there's a lot of room for interpretation.

G1 Ironhide/Ratchet. Most of the designs for the G1 figure line sucked, but these two were just sad. Please Has/Tak, these two iconic characters should receive a proper MP incarnation.

he has a cartoon model...and the alt mode was focussed on very much in the film. Transformed Galvatron blowing Starscream is one of THE most iconic Transformers moments. Ever. There's only as much room for interpretation as there has been with Optimus Prime or Grimlock.

And yeah, TC, the MP line is all about cartoon accuracy, so start from there making your guesses. I'd guess Ironhide and Ratchet may very well be coming down the pipeline sometime in the relatively near future.

If you look at the pattern from MP-10 onwards then Takara will do year 01 characters first with anything from later years only happening because of the repaint/remold value.

2. Yes I know what this line is about. it's about bringing forward the best possible versions of the characters. Besides, in the first episode we saw cybertronian alt modes for Bumblebee, Wheeljack, the Seekers, Soundwave, and Laserbeak. Not to mention what all they're doing with the side swipe mold, the movie figures, and don't even get me started on cream-sickle and forest camo seeker who were originally just animation errors to begin with. So don't give me this crap "do you even know what the MP line is about?" because you apparently don't.

3. Yes Quints! no they don't transform but they are a major character in the story. I'm not going to go out and buy a crappy 3P version. I don't buy "crappy" I want it has/tak licensed and not "crappy"

And to anyone else who want to complain and say "Another MP post?.." There's this amazing thing called choice and you can use it to NOT click on "Another MP post"

Actually if you watch closely, You'll see him transform the same way when he attacks starscream and then hotrod later on. dude you so miss the point... and this didnt clear the room of assholes, you are still here. get a little education so you can properly understand what people say to you. to make it short the masterpiece line is about G1 characters that get the most screen accurate as they can in both modes.

Again: 2 different versions of sideswipe that were NOT in the show OR movie(who the f**k is tigertarck anyway?), Sunstorm, Acidstorm, Nemesis prime, Albino prime (I don't recall Magnus in bot mode without his trailer/armor), then there's the MP-04 gold edition, silver edition, clear edition, dead edition, and the Kobain edition in lumberjack plaid.

Point is that the point of the MP line has gone out the window with the logic and reality of anybody in this thread.

But those are all just redecos, they aren't even remolds.

G2 Sideswipe was in the Marvel comics, Tigertrack is based on Diaclone yellow Countach (pre-transformers Sideswipe), and the Seeker redecos are simple redecos that the fans have been clamouring for for YEARS. Nemesis Prime is a given for any Optimus mold (because it looks damn good painted black) and Albino Prime was just a cash-in because why not? Nobody's forcing you to buy them, lol, they're just low-cost, high return investments for Takara, being only redecos without retooling.

In case my point isn't obvious, I'll be blunt. Each new mold (and remold) is all about show accuracy. Redecos are like...icing on the cake that is the MP line. Can't wait to see the finished version of G2 Sideswipe. It's important that Takara get their money back on the original version of the mold with redecos so they can give us more high quality, super show accurate MP releases.

Yeah, the point was kinda missed wasn't it.

My "crappy 3P" line might've been a tiny bit snide, but your reply was the only "a**hole" comment. A few alt modes that showed up in the first couple of minutes of the first episode will most likely never make Takara's list for the MP treatment because of all the better options available to them.

As for the Quints, your suggesting a non-transforming toy be added to the Masterpiece line of Transformers! That defeats the entire purpose of the line! In the show the Quints were sometimes portrayed as quite small, so having one with a transforming character from the third season could be an option.

Now, I'm sorry if you didn't like my response, but there was room for a mature debate that could've ended on friendly terms. Instead you went straight to the insults...

And again, I'm sorry to say, you have missed the point. Every mould released since MP-10 has been based on a 1984 character and everything you mentioned was a way for Takara to make as much money as possible from those moulds. The only reason were have been getting non-84 figures is because they are mould mates of said figures.

And now you are taking a swipe at everyone who posted in this thread...

WOW, you go live in your delusional little world... these figures exist cause the fan base wants them, not because some little piss ant loudmouth doesnt like them. you my friend are in a limited minority of peopel that think through their back end first. the reason for all those repaints, because the fans want them. also just cause you dont know where the characters come from doesnt give you the right to be all bitchy... each of those repaints exist in one or another because they were actual characters in the comic books and on tv... just because you missed out on them doesnt give you the right to come here and get all bent like a little girl telling us we dont know our ****. look at my collection count, if you come anywhere near that amount you get to know the ins and outs of every continuity... not just stick to the ones you know and say everything else sucks. so yes do what you say and go away.
