I'm just wondering if it's worth buying him or just sticking to Hasbro. So far I haven't read or seen any reviews comparing the two, though when the preview pics came out they had a laugh about 'Levi's Ironhide'.

Can anyone make a comparison? I have so far been delighted at how much money I've saved on toys I didn't like in this line, or from sticking to Hasbro due to no difference from Takara. Would love to know if there's any real difference here.

i heard that there will be a movie masterpiece sentinel prime and ironhide. with the better paint apps, it might be worth waiting bro.

I just heard that apparently Takara Leader Ironhide can actually turn his head. Can anyone confirm?

I'm also waiting for the Masterpiece versions to acquire them. I'm only doubt is: Is the continuation of the Movie Masterpiece series just another rumor ?

i have no idea when will they release or even announce the Movie MP of IH, that is if they would ever release one. i even did some researching and compared the time when LC HFTD starscream was announced up to the time that they announced that there will be an MP movie starscream. if i remember correctly, it took them 6 mos.

so roughly, if DOTM was announced around april, we COULD have news by the last quarter of the year.

i'm just wishing it would be worth the wait. =)

Well, if both Ironhide and Sentinel receive the paint-apps and the high-quality finishing they deserve ... then is for sure worth to wait. Overall, DOTM really looks cheap and the MechTech weapons are true crap: boring and poorly manufactured. A bit disappointed after being spoiled with ROTF.

Absolutely agree with you. The word CHEAP really nails it. I couldn't bring myself to buy some of the Voyagers... they just didn't look special enough to be paying 50 bucks for, while ROTF didn't require much thought. Everything's smaller, and when you look at the Deluxe Bumblebees, and Sideswipe, uglier.

Good day all

Started this thread a while ago. Wondering if anyone here now actually owns Takara Ironhide? Any changes as far as you can tell? The main question for me is can his head turn on the Takara version? If not I'll just stick with the Hasbro.
