Seriously, when will I learn? Being something of a completist, I now own three iterations of the Universe Galvatron mode -- which is fine. What's not fine is that every time I get a new one, I convince myself that transforming it is not as unrewarding and painfully frustrating as I remember it, and that perhaps this time will be better. :BANG_HEAD:

Seriously, this mold is like an abusive spouse.

When I got Universe Galvatron I was so pist with it I threw it at the wall busting it and then I tossed it out. Well after looking at Henkei reviews and listening to others pointing out that he simply looks best just in robot mode. So I got the Challenge at Cybertron set and with a few mods with glue I'm totally happy with Galvatron...'nuff said!

Yes, I agree that he is a disappointment, however, I transformed him a few days ago and didn't find it that bad (apart from pulling off the canon changing back to bot mode). Furthermore, I managed to get him to stand up. I think some fairies have sprinkled mine with magic dust.

I just messed with him the other day. It was the first time I tried to get him into alt mode since I bought him. Still crap.

In truth, my second and third Galvatrons both came along for the ride as I completed my Cyclonus collection. Until Henkei Galvatron finds himself an enticing package-mate, he's off the list!

Haha, I've been laughing at all the hate for Universe Galvatron for 2 years now. I have to buy this guy at some point - just to experience how bad he really is!

The funny thing is, he's not completely horrible. If he were just a P-O-S, then it wouldn't be so frustrating. But he combines a number of potentially good elements into a poorly executed package. That's why it's so easy to look at the photos on the box and think "Hey, I should give this another shot, it actually looks kind of cool." By the time you realize what a mistake you've made, you're already pot-committed to the transformation. Galvatron is essentially the king of the "beer goggles" TFs.

It's just what happens when you start out designing it as a voyager with three modes, then decide, nope, deluxe with two modes, and expect the old design to still work with minor tweaks rather than starting over with it. I bet as originally designed it would've kicked ass.

I'd love to see this mold of Galvatron done properly as a Voyager or Ultra Class figure. It was originally intended to be a larger figure, but they changed it to a deluxe class and made Powerglide an Ultra Class figure for some reason. Big mistake. I think this mold suffers entirely from being a deluxe instead of an ultra.

I just want to see a Generations Cybertronian Megatron repaint/remold into Generations Galvatron. Then I can put Universe Galvatron in my storage tub and never think of him again! ;P

Seriously though, I do like the figure, but he is a total pain in the butt. I've found that, if displaying him in robot mode, detaching the "tanks" (i.e. kibble) from his back and storing them in a drawer allows him to stand up without falling over like a drunken lunatic.

The funny thing is he's borderline awesome...and everyone else is just wrong! No, he's not the sturdiest fig there is to stand and pose. Yes, it would be better if he were voyager sized. Yes, his transform is challenging (which I find to be a good thing.) Fact of the matter is he looks AWESOME...and if the sissies that found Universe Silverbolt to have an enjoyable transform would work their way up to the big boy toys, he's actually a fun fig to transform (coming from a guy that ENJOYS MP Megs
