I think it will open with a strong $116.8 mil. (U.S. box office).

It'll at least equal RotF's opening, which already broke records. Overall box office I expect will either surpass or equal RotF, with the optimist in me thinking it'll surpass it. I don't expect negative critical buzz to have an impact since if history proves anything Michael Bay's films are critic proof.

I'd love to say it'll be over the $100 million mark for the weekend, but unfortunately I don't think it will. It'll top out between $82-86 million, but for its entire U.S. box office, it'll probably do north of $600 million, probably making it stay in theaters well into September. I think the 3D aspect will be what either makes it or breaks it.

It'll really depend on the marketing for it. Toys, games, music, tv ads, etc.

I don't think it will be a problem. Remember, it's shot using both traditional and 3D cameras like Avatar. That means people unwilling to drop money on the 3D version can still watch the 2D version. When you take that into consideration, the 3D is less a potential deal breaker and more a bonus.

Agreed, but I don't think people are on the fence about 3D. They either will see it or won't see it in 3D. And if they won't, because the 3D will probably be in as many theaters as 2D, it'll cut down on non-3D people being able to see it, thus cutting into the box office. Personally, I will go see it in 3D, I've been waiting for this for 2 years. :)

For my opinion, I bet the opening weekend for Domestic will be around USD150Million, and Total gross above USD500Million..and i can be sure that TF3 will have best action and coolest scene ever made between this trilogy..trust me.And for foreign opening i think around USD200Million and total gross around USD550Million..
So total gross worldwide is about USD1.05-1.1Billion
