Well, 2 weeks ago I managed to get my first DOTM figures from Target thanks to a friend and I got Shockwave (perfect) and Skyhammer. SO first i opened Shocky, every joint is stiff as hell, the MECH gimmick works great and just overall awesome i think, so then i moved on to Skyhammer, as soon as i took him out of the box he has floppy hip joints and shoulder and elbows joint as well, i took him back and waited until the release date for all the DOTM toys and got another one, still the same thing, loose joints everywhere and the MECH weapon actually came apart when i press the button and then i took him back waited a week or so cause i couldn't find him, finally found another one and got him open and still the same floppy ass hip joints, but the shoulder and elbows are good an the MECH weapon has abit of resistance when pressed and is locks counter-clockwise instead of clockwise which i find odd. I did get out the screwdriver to try to tighten up ALL the screws and that seem to help, but dont know for how long and he may become loose again after a few transformations but i haven't tried it yet. To sum it up, as much as i really like this figure his bot is great and i really love his alt mode alot too, but i really hope Skyhammer isnt getting the Crank Case treatment! Skyhammer is a great figure, but hasbro is really making me hate him alot and i feel like taking him back and getting my money in return and i only wanted to get a few Transformers from this line then move on to 3rd party stuff, but after hearing about CC and my issues with Skyhammer i feel this line is a total waste of money!

What is up with Hasbro and their manufacture problems?

I am loving this line! My Crankcase is tight, and my Skyhammer is snug and wonderful. I do have to agree on the crapiness of his mechtech, it won't stay folded all the way after only two button pushes. I replaced it with Backfire.

I know right? For example I've hearing seibertton member pontimax having some problems with ironhide. Because of Ironhide having "glass shoulders"

Stockade, just out of interest, have you tried reading some of your sentences out loud on one breath?

If the screw joints loosen up try taking them apart and putting a sheet or three of paper in. Cheap (non glossy) paper will be best for friction.

Hmmm i didnt think of this, good call man.

My Skyhammer is fine, but the Ironhide I bought had floppy joints (I like to call it "marionette syndrome") - his head wouldn't even stay up - and one of his legs snapped off at the hip when I tried to transform him.

I've bought about a dozen DOTM figures so far, and Ironhide was only bad one.

LOL yeah I just placed this in word and it appears he only has three periods in his post (with the acceptional exclamation point to make the post at least four "sentances")

Back on topic, I did spot a Skyhammer yesterday and thinking of this post, I thought I'd shake the box to see if the hips were loose. They flopped a little but not enough since he's tied in. This may be a problem with all Skyhammers.

Dotm ironhide is bad luck

ill have to shake a few skyhammers beforew i buy one. The only skyhammer i found so far had the wosrt mt, i pushed it once at the store and it fell apart in the box. i put it behind the rest of voyagers they had.

Mine's fine too, no problem with him whatsoever.
