You wont be seeing any pics of CW Megatron in a toilet. Alpha Bravo does not take kindly to other bots invading his domain.

There's a difference between "having fun" and "potentially getting shot/arrested for threatening someone with what could be mistaken for a dangerous weapon". That's just common sense.

But even aside from safety concerns, Megatron turning into a goddamn pistol is mind numbingly stupid. He's the goddamn leader of the Decepticons and his alt mode relies on somebody else to hold him. It's like Darth Vader turning into his own lightsabre. One of Megatron's minions turning into a pistol for him (like a Targetmaster)? That would make sense. But Megatron himself turning into a handgun is just daft, even aside from the mass-shifting. You can argue about it till you're blue in the face, but it's one of the bits of G1 that is best forgotten, along with The Core, B.O.T and Omega Supreme's incomprehensible transformation (How does the rocket base follow the rocket anyway?)

Of course I fully expect you to be incapable of understanding that as you're arrogant enough to quote yourself in your own sig.

Gun>Tank every time, it was the gun mode that made him feel dangerous, the controversy of Megatron becoming a realistic looking gun was so befitting to the character. Every time I see a Tankatron I am instantly turned off, although I dont advocate running around in public with it there was something very special about brandishing that G1 toy as a child.

Are you talking about the Warbotron - WB01-F X-Ray & Gun Set? That comes with a mini Shockwave and a gun for the Warbotron Bruticus.

The only 3P's that made Shockwave's lately are Warbotron and Fansproject (in the Swindle/Vortex reissue). Both Legends'y.

Finally after months of trying to find this toy. Earlier today Walmart.com relisted this G1 CW Megatron toy as back in stock. Finally was able to buy one.

This upgrade kit look sweet. However, how the transformation will work? Will the feet atachment remain there without hindering the transformation? In vehicle mode, will the turret turn? How will it look in tank mode overall?

I already paid 20$ in Reprolabels for my Megs. Will 60$ more be worth it?

There's a bit of parts forming, it looks like. The foot pieces will very likely have to come off. Here's a pic in tank mode:



I think the other kit is more kibbly, but the silver back-shoulder cannon goes on the tank cannon, where this one is tacked on to the side.

In my opinion, both have pluses and minusses, and both make CW Megs look more G1, but I don't think of CW Megs as G1, myself. *shrug*

Get what your saying as I feel the same way. Also Prefer my update TF toy faces to look like the G1 toy not the G1 toon.

As far as this CW G1 Megatron toon face goes, I've seen worse. Actually like this CW Megatron toy face.

An example of a G1 update toy face I dislike because it looks too much like the toon. Is the MP-09 Rodimus Prime Two faces.

Would actually like to see HasTak one day use that G1 1984 Megatron toy face on a update toy.

The Walther P-38 UNCLE G1 toy face has a more "organic face" compared to the G1 toon

Not too shabby, but I think I'll pass. the upgrade kit ruin the thank mode and it cover all the Reprolabels. For me, paying another 60$ must be worthwile for BOTH modes.
Maybe if the kit is around 50% off, I may think about it. I'd just have to not attach the bits on the tank.
Personally, just the Repros alone improve the figure a lot and it's good enough for me.

I already got him with Perfect Effect's Laserbeak plugged into the five-millimeter hole on his arm and holding the sword. I wonder if I can fit MP Megatron's mace into his forearm when I remove the hand...

There's too much going on with this kit, methinks. All I really want is a cap for the cannon... I can live without all the other stuff.

Me too. That's why I'm working with SKYWARPED_128 to create a canon upgrade that you can put on and remove at will.

It will take a couple of weeks or months to do, but stay tuned|

Got it today! I haven't had a chance to do anything with the hands, but everything else is really solid and snaps on easily. Great enhancements, all of them. And I really love that the cannon barrel's got a hole for the missile to fire through.

It's the little things for me.

Hopefully tomorrow I can try and figure out getting the forearms open and switch out the hands. Well, switch out one hand and replace the other with MP-Megatron's mace.
