I can see a photo contest topic here. "Photograph your TFs doing something with the orange plug." Many wouldn't be able to participate, myself included because I got an unmodded Megatron, but the resulting photos could be worth a laugh.

On another note, I find it silly that you can buy this or this on eBay yet you can't buy a toy Megatron.

I can see the contest now and the winning entry is entitled, "Arcee puts Megs plug to good use." You then see that the picture isn't exactly what the caption leads you to believe as we see that the orange plug is being used as a scale toilet plunger. Bonus points if the winning picture used Shortround as the toilet.

If you had a pair, you could turn them into cufflinks or earings.

Or place them on a real gun. :D

Either try TFZone or Timban. Or perhaps go straight to a store like Xybertoys?

I love it when a play comes together . Thanks Jetfire

Thanks for the correction Swerve, clip, cartridge or high capacity clips ammos etc. But to tell you the truth, does it make a difference? All the legislating nonsense and some smart @ss wacko can find the means to get around it.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Makes me wonder though if the 2nd Amendment give wackos and sickos the right to bear arms?

As a result, our Megs and Shockwave can't be sold (over the counter in the US anyway) and now Ebay..........especially TFC re-issues. The paranoia has come to a point that a kindergarten schooler got slapped with a suspension for waving a toy gun at his teach ( pre- VT) and a psycho mom (post VT) waving a toy gun at some school kids.

Most likely, the 2nd Amendment was for 1 of 2 reasons
1) - Self protection
2) - Keep the govt in check

I personally believe both.. By making it harder to LEGALLY obtain ANYTHING, you are only making it harder for the people that are RESPONSIBLE to get it..

If anyone wants anything bad enough, they can/will get it..

-- -- -- -- --

Ebay canceling auctions for TOYS is a crock of $hit!! They are just tring to cover their a$$ because that one guy at VT bought some of this gun supplies off ebay

What abot airsoft guns?? the plastic guns that have clips that shoot plastic bbs?? Their just clear!! Ive seen many people around here that have bought them and painted them some gunmetal color. I had to pick one up and take a closer look at it to even be sure that it wasnt a real gun (tho the weight of it gave it away)

My point exactly. The responsible gun owners will get shafted(us collectors too) and the sickos will find a way to go around the said legislation.

2nd Amendment aside, mentally unstable individuals have not right to firearms. Only a retard will allow such people the rights to bear arms.

You can't shout fire in a crowded place ( Freedom of Speech) just as the Right to bear arms has its limitations ( aside from formenting a revolution against despotic rule............hmmmmmm, similarities to the Autobot/Decepticon conflict/ American Revolution no?)But then, history gets written in the perspective of the victor.

Has anyone purchased the modded MP-05 Megatron from BigBadToyStore.com? Can the blazed orange plug be removed easily as not to damage the figure? Thanx in advance for the response.

Based on what I have heard from those that did purchase their modded MP Megs through BBTS, the plug can be removed. Several people have commented that it was easier to remove after heating up the barrel with a blow dryer.

tentagil wrote:The phasers don't look anything like real guns, which lets them pull off the replica/prop line with more success and skip the orange cap.

Neither does Classic Megatron, but BOTH the scope and the barely existent barrel bare the faggy orange tip.

tentagil wrote:As for the people standing up and petitioning this law. In alot of states the law is actually more restrictive in that a toy gun can't even be colored like a real gun (Which is why Megs is the colors he is). And in most cases those laws are the result of parent groups petitioning for it.

Its not like one little incident led to this law going up to congress. If you research it there was alot of public backing on it from parent groups and the like. I think its a stupid law myself. But it exists because the people of this country wanted it. Of course I suppose that something about the average intelligence level of our citizens.

Well, the average jow blow american and intelligence ( So long as they have reality TV, college sports, and beer, they are satisfied. ) do often mix, look at post 9/11. The government goes, "Look at this awful thing that happened! You have to give up your rights, freedoms and privacies, so that we can protect you!" And the sad part is that a majority of people at that time said, "Yes, we'll do that!" Same thing with the so-called Iraq war, you so much as said anything bad about it, or Dubya, you'd get labled as being a hater of freedom, and they pretty much 'dixie chicked' you.

Fortunately, some brain power is slowly starting to surface.

And I don't count parent groups as being considered as intelligent. Banning fire on Beavis & Butthead during its first season did not reduce ill-parented kids from playing with matches, nor arsens. I live in Southeast Michigan, so I know all about fires and arsens. :-P

Sheesh i'm glad i went with hobby Link, the plug slid right out and took me like 2 seconds and i was even holding megs very lightly to do so.. I attribute it to pulling a 2 sized too small cork from a whine bottle.. it was really easy and not a big deal..

Tell me about it. And it's real funny in the states, we are supposedly the land of the free, yet we got censors worse than in most other countries.

Can just picture the 'patriotic' folks giving me the standard 'love it or leave it!' lecture. =P

I remember when they banned all mentions and use of fire on Beavis & Butthead, and the edits were terrible. The censoring and edits are more offensive to me than the stuff they got rid of. I got all the original Beavis & Butthead airings with fire on videotape, and they are a hell of alot funnier.

Just wait, it really will be like that x-mas episode of Southpark when they attempted to make a non-offensive x-mas, but with everything, not just holidays.

Megatron: DIE, AUTOBOTS!!!! > : ) *transforms into gun and hops into Skywarp's hands*

Skywarp: Take this! *pulls trigger, and a flag with "BANG!" on it comes out of the orange tipped barrel* What the? []o_O[]

Megatron: What's next, a trigger lock? /x_X\;

eh wrong answer. People dont kill people, bullets kill people. Well technically bleeding out and sepsis kills people but thats just a technicality.

Glad to help - this figure really is the dogs bollocks.

BTW whoever gave a nation the right to bear arms really didn't think things through.

Ebay's stupidity got to stop. Among other places. It's ok for an adult or a lunatic to buy a gun at a gun shop easily. While it's harder to ever see a release of a Megatron toy gun here in the states or overseas by hasbro. Even with a stupid orange plug attached to it. For the person that started the rant to Ebay last week. Shame on you! You ruined it for everyone else including yourself you knucklehead! :-x

Ebay will always protect its own arse. Would you want to be blamed for selling a replica gun and subsequently get sued.

Stupid I know. But people are stupid - collectors will have to find other ways to get their MP-05 fix.

I agree with you, but then America would have to work instead of get rich quick and that really ruins our chances of being the fattest, laziest nation ever. The new America is built on the back of someone else's hard work, and more than likely they were willing to do it for less money.

What really gets me is that even as recently as 5 months ago you could buy MISB Megatrons on E-bay or elsewhere with no problems. Don't tell me that the increased attention on Transformers has caused websites to take a second look at what they are selling.
