I love Echo's work,they really did a fine job with these.

I don't think the HasTak figures deserve all this Echo love. HasTak cut corners to the extreme with these toys.

Spending $100 for Five FOC Combaticons. Then over $100 for the add-ons. Is not something I am willing to do for below subpar Hastak toys. I'd rather just buy Warbotron instead.

I'm happy with my $29.99 Target ROTF Bruticus. With the added $120 FP Swindle,Blastoff & combiner pieces add-ons.

If Echo or another 3rd party wants to get my money & impress me. They'll create a deluxe sized BH Hungurr. That can combine with the Four BH Legion sized Terrorcons to form Abonimus. This would be a 1987 toy scale.

echo's add-ons are only $50 bucks I thought. Where did the $100 price comes from?

I kind of want it. Im not a big fan of ruination being an autobot or not having traditional RID colors. But it would look great as a generic cybertronian combiner. I might have to buy a hasbro onslaught though. I wish to keep Impactor on my wreckers shelf.

I'm interested in this kit, but it sure would help if I got my hands on one of the Bruticus kits first so I can test out the stability and playability. I like that these sets give the combined mode added "beef".

Hi Everyone,

I felt it very important to let you know as soon as do.

Officially, this production for the "Wrecktifier" Ruination kit is cancelled.

It very much pains me to announce this. X-Transbots does not feel there is enough demand to break even on the kit. I agree. With the recent competition for this figure, very poor distribution of Ruination along with all the other third party items coming out competing for your dollars, the market is getting very, very crowded. Interest in the kit appears to be relatively low.

If there is enough interest for customizers I can look at releasing the kit via Shapeways. I can offer a complete kit as well as sub-kits as some of the parts might be of interest to you. I will be creating a video that shows a fully painted prototype with all the cool features it has. I am very proud of the design and am happy to share provided there is enough interest.

I have lost quite a bit of time and money in the endeavor and I'm sure those still interested in the kit will also be disappointed. My apologies...it breaks my heart to make this announcement.

But I am still working on other projects, so I'm sure there will be more to talk about. And of course many, many thanks.

I would have bought it. How do you determine that you wont break even without putting up a pre-order ? Weve seen things get cancelled before because not enough people placed orders, but wheres this guy getting his stats from ?

I have no interest in a Shapeways version. I hate painting and I don't have color matching skills. Im glad the g2 version of the Bruticus set will at least hit the market. Hopefully the Takara version too. I need to give the G2 version a test run before I pre-order the Takara version. Tight fitting parts might scratch shiny paint.

They probably based it off what preorders/orders they received for the Boosticus set. Given that the Ruination figures weren't as widely distributed and have fewer versions (we have what, 4 different FOC-styled Brutici?), they probably plugged in some numbers based on assumptions of lower demand, and figured it wasn't worth it. I doubt they would have cancelled had the Boosticus upgrades yielded large margins; X-Transbots profits on those sets were probably slim. That, plus a Microblaze retool of Onslaught into Impactor would have really dinged them. In the end, I guess they decided the risk wasn't worth it.
