Finally my favourite seeker gets the MP treatment!

Interesting that the figure may contain more diecast - if it does I hope that it's in the leg region to help stability.

Probably just the flappy feets will get diecast while everything remain as plastic.

You see, when weaving material into fabric (as in using a loom to do it) the threads that go in one direction are called the fill threads. The threads in the perpendicular direction to the fill is called the warp.

I think it would have been interesting if they stuck with the theme of modeling them after real life jets. Maybe they could have made Thundercracker a F-16 and Skywarp a F-18. Sure, they wouldnt have the G1 characteristics that using a F-15 would have, but at least it would actually give some distinction to them as characters. Actually the only real difference would be the intakes wouldnt be shoulder mounted in bot mode considering that the F-16 has one large intake centered under the canopy and the F-18 two smaller rounded intakes.

Well, you could have Skywarp & Thundercracker each come with half of a MP Bumblebee..."wrapped up and put a little bow on him" for Megatron.

And didn't Starscream once use an Energon slingshot?

The only energon slingshot I recall was wielded by Wheelie...

That's not Engrish. That's a computer taking Japanese & translating it word for word into English with no reguard for sentence structure. You would get nearly the same effect translating just about any language into English.

....I believe in Engrish, they try to halfway do it right....just they fail miserably.

.....Anyway, Skywarp sounds spiffy. I wonder who his pilot will be? Wouldn't be suprised if it's just a generic pilot.

Well these photos show soundwave with the single chest design too. Makes me almost regret getting the Hasbro double chest one, but at least I get Ravage and Laserbeak.
Perhaps I'll just have to buy this Soundwave too once he's released. We'll see.

[edit]On closer inspection, the pics of Starscream and Soundwave seem to be the same ones we saw in the previous thread, only larger and clearer. As stated in the previous thread, they still look suspiciously like original 80s promo shots rather than pics of the new releases. (Especially Starscream's Null Rays)

Thank Primus! At least my worries of havig the same Starscream face are now long gone.

I'm hoping that e-hobby does there own versions of the Takra Encore line. With so many reissues on the market of these characters and many of them being fairly recent, it would be kind of cool if this set were unique.

There are several variations of Optimus Prime so I am uncertain if it will be the original with the yellow eyes and clear windshield or the New Year's version with Blue eyes and windshield. There's also that red footed version of Optimus, and they could even do a limited Diaclone version of Optimus.

Megatron could either feature the blue leg trim like he did on the box of thr Goodbye Megatron set or maybe they issue another black with wood handle P38 version.

As far as Starscream is concerned, while I feel he didn't look all that great in anime acurate colors as a figure, I wouldn't mind them re-releasing that version just to change things up a bit. I have a few of the re-issues as well as my original but I'd like to see something a little different as an incentive to buy this version as well. Even if he came with some new accessories, that would be reason enough.

As far as Soundwave goes, I seriously hope this is the single cassette chest version. I like my Hasbro commemorative but he just isn't Soundwave, of course he isn't Soundblaster either. I feel that Black paint scheme with the red cassette door just makes Soundblaster. I'm really hoping for Rumble, Frenzy, or maybe even Ratbat and if I'm real lucky some energon cubes.

Anyways, I feel if e-hobby were to do there own versions, they will probably not be straight re-issues. I realize that they there has only been talk of the Takara Encore line but we still aren't 100% sure what we are getting yet.

Sometimes eHobby sells eHobby exclusives; but MP-06 and the Encore series are not exclusives so you should be able to find these on most online retailers.

I think skywarp will warp out of stock as quickly as he does in the cartoon.
