Well, if everything is being repainted for greater accuracy to something else, then by default, comic-accurate Frenzy is blue, and show-accurate Rumble is that bluish shade of purple that's not accurate to either original toy. That way no one's happy.

Guess Rumble will have to be updated to black.

Enemy is red.
Rumble is black.
Frenzy is blue.

Ill will regarding plugs comes out if anyone here tosses their link around too much, and rightfully so. Just google KO transformers, and you've found the site when you see an eerily familiar logo, resembling another robot toyline that they ironically sell no KOs of...unless you count a few leftover Playskool items. Which you shouldn't.

Okay, I'm just being vague because I can't afford to preorder right now, and they'd damn well better not sell out before they actually go on sale. Probably won't happen anyway, but this eHobby announcement has left me unable to think rationally.

Wouldn't it be great if TT KOs the KOs to make Encore Cassettes #5? (With #4 being Grandslam and Raindance and... wait, I just realized there's a Transformer combiner named Slamdance! That's awesome! How do I not own this yet??)

I might jump on the bandwagon and get these for the cassettes. but It would be nice to have a blue blaster and a black soundwave for show.

Okay, first of all, I totally want....the cassettes. I already have Twincast from the Twincast/Flip Sides reissue, so I wouldn't really care to get a second one. The Soundblaster mold is somewhat interesting because I never had a G1 Soundwave, and I love the repaints into obscure characters.

One question though....in Animated (which I never really got into) Wingthing is a Fembot (according to TFWiki)....not true in regular continuity? I'd love to add "her" to my current duo of Rosanna and Flip Sides.

I think wingthings first appearance was as a toy, which was soundwave's action master weapon. Then was since used again after that.

Right, I saw that, and Wingthing was referred to as a he (and was almost as big as Soundwave!). But in Animated, Wingthing is a "she". Ah, I guess I'll just make her a Fembot in my own collection so Rosanna and Flip Sides don't feel left out :grin:

I love the fact that Takara threw us a curveball here. My wallet hopes that they continue releasing more of these Japanese figures under the Encore line, especially the more expensive and rare figures (Overlord, Liokaiser, Galaxy Shuttle etc.)

Well Animated converted the gender of some characters when it did it's adaptation of them.
Such as Red Alert, a Starscream clone and Drag Strip.
I think prior to animated wingthing was male. It's different universes though.

I love that Enemy is getting a proper toy and that Nightstalker is also getting a toy. Gotta check if there's any cassette characters left that are toyless.

Gotta say I was tempted to try and hunt down the Microman "Enemy", but it looks like this is more or less the same. Is there any other Microman cassettes that haven't been reissued? Garboyl and Howlback covered the blue Ravage and Lazerbeak.

Enemy, the red Micross, was the only one missing. We have all Microman Cassettes in the TF Universe:

Micross
Black = Rumble (toy)
Blue = Frenzy (toy)
Red = Enemy

Condor
Red = Laserbeak
Gold = Buzzsaw
Blue = Garboil

Jaguar
Black = Ravage
Blue = Howlback

The rest of the cassettes are all TF original molds.
